Okay guys I need opinions! I'm using the 2014 CRF front fender and plate. The plate sits a little lower than stock, and my bar mounts are slightly higher than stock. I mocked up the front end last night (pictured below) and feel that the bars/ mounts look super high. I think with grips, levers, cables, etc attached that it will look better, but do you guys think it looks too tall? I'm being a perfectionist on this build.

next up: new seat foam & seat cover!

Nice build !
I also think it looks to tall, is it necessary that the bar mounts are that high ?

No, not necessary at all. The bar mounts actually came with the bike, and look very trick so I wanted to use them. I actually don't have stock mounts, so id have to buy new ones.

With stock or lower mounts, and all the grips, cables etc mounted like you said it will probably look "normal".

Yeah, just wanted to see what everyone else's opinion was. Damn, because these clamps are awesome! Just doesn't look right. I'm on the lookout for some nice aftermarket ones, that are low.

I already replaced the crossbar of the handlebars for a shorter one, which brought the pad a little lower, so that helped.

Looks like an Mx bones bar mounts. You can order them taller. That is what seems to be going on.

The 02 I'm building looks just like that. I used a 2010 front fender and stadium plate. Looks fine.

See my last pic in the thread, I think it looks good now. When I tightened the mounts down it brought them down about 1/4. Also I used a crossbar from another set of bars that was about 1 1/4" skinnier, which brought the crossbar pad lower. Overall I think the setup looks normal now.

I see, yea...I guess it doesn't matter as long as it functions good for you! How do you attach the top strap on the stadium plate? It looks like it is going to be too short?

They are always too short to wrap fully around the pad. They come with a zip-Ty that attaches the strap to the bar pad. It is attached in the last pic.

I've got some work done today. Put the full new OEM clutch in. New DEP pipe, o-ring, pipe springs. Boysen rad valve with new boysen reeds. New oversized radiators.

Has anyone else ever ran a DEP pipe on a CR 125?

I bought the kicker on ebay, and im 99.9% sure it is the right kicker for a CR 125... After putting it on the bike I noticed that it touches the pipe. Not a lot, but I was just wondering if anyone else noticed this when running a DEP...

Find what diameter hose you are looking for, and search for Nitro RC Car fuel line. Here is some I found on eBay. Last time I got it, I bought 10 feet... I'd like to get a whole roll.

Every Euro(DEP/HGS, etc) pipe I have ran the tip of the kickstarter hits. They seem to be fatter in the middle which causes this.............They run great, though...........

I've been reading that these CR 125's starve for air. So I ordered an 07 airboot, which is much larger in volume than the 03' boot. Here's a picture I found online showing the comparison (07' on the right).

I also have two 1" holes in each side of the airbox that I will plug with the UNI air filter inserts.

Awesome thanks dude, I read in the description that it isn't recommended for Petrol - since fuel isn't running through it continuously it should be fine.

One more question, know where I can determine my hose size? I have been looking for my 2001 Rm 125 project but I am getting a lot of different hose specs.

Thanks - Looking good!

Well it looks like half a bike!

Go the electrical stuff hooked up today, bike started up no problem and sounded awesome.

I'm waiting on a new subframe, and Swingarm bearings. I need to put the new seatcover on with the new foam, and the bike should be just about complete. My goal is by the end of the day next Saturday.

Is that hammerhead shifter for a cr125 or a different model? The reason why I ask is I'm trying to find one for my build. Bike looks clean I like it

Best build on the forum at the minute for me, exactly how I would want a CR to look. Good job!
