I know that and you know that. My point was that a lot of people are quick to say that the other riders in MX2 GP's are not good enough because Herlings wins by so much, so often. Ferrandis showed the people that say that, he is no mug with his performance at ME cup

I'm a huge Roczen fan, always have been, but in my opinion Herlings is better than him. That's not me being ignorant and thinking that Roczen hasn't improved at all over the last couple of years, because he has, certainly at SX. But I think Herlings has made the most improvement out of everyone over the last 2 years, with his riding and with his training. You can say he's a pussy for staying in the MX2 but at the end of the day he's 19, there aren't many people who move up to the 450 class at that age, some do, but not that many, and to say he's beating no-one is a little bit disrespectful, all those guys he beats are incredibly fast, just as fast as the top 250 boys in the states, as Ferrandis proved at the ME cup. I think that he was happy to either stay in MX2 or move up to MXGP, but KTM wanted him to stay in MX2 because obviously it's another title for them. We might see him do a couple of MXGP rides at the end of the season to help Cairoli out, which would be great to watch

You're probably right, i just find it interesting to have the debate with people. I don't mean to cause any offence from it, its just good to be able to chat with people about this stuff. At the end of the day the only people who can change an individuals opinion is the guys we are talking about. But it's still fun to have the debate with people. That's what this forum is for

He's 20…

You can't really prove Jeffrey has gotten faster then Ken. They have never raced the same class since 2011. (MXON JH was mx3, Roczen mx2).

Yeah the guy is fast no doubt. This injury he has had 6+months off. Im not saying he will loose speed but like Villopoto he will probably come back stronger.

People who say Jeffery is the fastest rider in the world, Im sure Eli Tomac will have something to say about that in the next couple of MXON's. The dude may not be as talented as Herlings or Roczen but he rides with pure heart and gets it done similar to how RC4 did.

Either way, I hope all 3 three end up in the same Series at somepoint, would be cool to see them race for a championship not just MXON.

More dominate than RV? Check your facts bud. The only reason that season was close was because RV had a mechanical first moto at Unadilla. And on the season RV had 14 moto wins to Townleys 8.

Because the thread is about Herlings, and you'll do absolutely anything you can to try pull RV's name through the mud in your never ending quest to prop up James. FFS, RV won the title that year, that's all that matters.

Fuck man, at least slander the rider the thread is about!

I wouldn't worry about it Crush. rcm406 has had James' balls lodged down his throat for so long , he has an infection that has lead to brain damage. LMFAO!......Townley was awesome....but to compare him to RV in any way shape or form....is not only reaching for straws , it's retarded. He'll be butt hurt until he's 80yrs old , about RV whoopin' the shit out of James the last 6yrs.

And 2007 rcm406? Wasn't that the same year RV went and destroyed everyone on the planet at Budds Creek....on a 250F?

Check your facts on who won the damn title.

Since the whole RV/Townley series was brought up maybe people should think about that before appointing Herlings as the second coming of Christ. Townley was no doubt very good on the little bike, as that year proved, but how did his transition to racing full time on the big bikes go? Could the same thing happen to Herlings? I doubt it because he has proven more than once he can ride them well but as a full time switch you never know until it happens.

It wasn't that Townley wasn't as good on a 450, he just had terrible luck with injuries when he moved up to the big bikes. He proved to be very fast on a 450 several times but he just couldn't stop getting injured unfortunately

Chronology of this thread:

Herlings' time running out - Herlings is the FMOTP - Herlings is faster than Roczen - Ferrandis is faster than Webb - the MEC is NO supercross as it has no whoops! - Its better to say Ferrandis suggests being a good SX rider by beating many good guys under bad circumstances than saying he proved it - Townley was better than RV - Townley sucked on a 450 - #Whosnext?

Lets hope Herlings gets the chance to go to USA this year to show how fast he actually is. Clean sweep, with ease!

I was fairly confident in him going 1-1 at Unadilla last year barring disaster. Obviously he did have a disaster because he stupidly broke his leg riding an 85. It remains to be seen if he decides to do an AMA national this year, and how long it takes him to get back to his best after his leg break. But i think with the form he was in before he broke his leg, he would've been very very good at Unadilla

OA wins might mean more to idiots like you, but in the grand scheme they mean nothing, especially when it comes to which rider is more dominant. And oh yeah, what do they award points for again, the motos, not the overall. RV - 14 Townley - 8. And RV was most likely gonna win that first moto at Dilla before he had his mechanical. Suck it RCM
