25+years as a sales rep in the sporting goods industry. The first 18 representing lines in the ski/snowboard industry as well as a few big moto companies. The last 8-9 Have been in the Team industry selling all the big brands for one of the best companies I have ever worked for. Stressful at times like any sales job, but I have been all over the country, seen some great places and met some of the nicest people who I now call friends. Could be richer if I went to Wall Street right out of college but I wouldn't change a thing.

cool, my son knows Kyle I'm sure. My son's getting ready to head down to Climax so he will be around all the TZR riders. Tom built our 250 motor this year and is a great guy. you're probably to far north to be our distributor but I will look you up next time we're looking for something. our shop is Ideal Machine Inc, we're located in Dieterich IL, down near Effingham.

For the past 22 yrs during the growing season, I keep 6000 acres of water flowing on a family farm (not my family but I got the bosses son into moto).

In the winter, I use the welding skills I learned in high school and have fun building farm necessities in a heated shop, mind you.

Before that time and during too, I went to way too much college and spent 5 yrs in Nashville helping the ex in her music.

Small business owner...printing and graphics.
Also sell and rent enclosed and utility trailers as a hobby of sorts...if I sold twice as many I could almost make a living doing it.

You have amazing boobs for a single father! On a serious note, how old are your kiddos? I raised a son not biologically mine & a 3 yr old & 18 month old by myself, found an amazing wife & step mother about 5 years ago though. All teens now & surprisingly turned out okay even with all my faults. Hats off to you, single fathers don't get enough respect.
Single father here too. I took custody from my x-wife who had a serious drinking problem when my kids were 2 and 6 mos old. My son will be 25 in March and my daughter will be 23 in April. Was a long tough road, but I'd do it all over again, if I HAD to. I don't wish the single parent thing on anyone, but it was a way better alternative than staying married, "for the kids" !!

My son is in the Entertainment Industry, doing well. Daughter is going to San Diego State, in her last year. Majored in Recreation and Tourism for her AA, she'll be graduating with her BA in Buisness. She's currently working for one of the top companies in the US for corporate and high end events, including the Emmy's, Oscars and a bunch of million dollar celeb weddings. So proud of them both, I consider myself lucky that they turned out to be happy/ successful adults. All you can do is your best with kids, even good parents can end up with a kid that gets into trouble or ends up a drug addict. I'm thankful that I didn't have to experience any of that.

Single parenting is a FULL TIME job, hang in there... Your efforts will pay off in the end !! I wish I could've found a chick to spend my life with, but I'm too selfish with my time. So far that's been the issue with the ones I've dated... Lol

Ex pro Speedway rider, now retired due to a bad injury racing left me paralysed,I'm now in a chair as a result, broke my neck at C6/7,spent 4-5 weeks in halo traction had an operation to fuse things together and spent 6 1/2 months in hospital, that was 2002...

Thankfully family, freinds and my partner have helped me along the way to make the best of things, still obviously love Speedway,Moto and now occupy my spare time with classic/custom cars and bikes aside from the challenges that life obviously hits me with, and also most importantly here trying to be a great dad bringing up my new baby son Smile
Sounds like you can't miss in the Great Dad department.
Hopefully! Well I guess at least I'm home to spend more time with the little fella Smile

Too bad you couldn't of got Curtis on the program, he could stand to lose a few pounds. Laughing
j/k, Curtis is my bud. Ive been friends with the family for a long time, I'm hoping Kyle can put it together this year, he's runnng out of time. Sad they have been back in town for a few weeks staying at a mutual friends house, he's going to end up racing East coast, the new team is still working out some details.

You are livng the life, good to hear that ! I have a few friends that are in bands, but only a couple have "Made a Living" at it. Robert Ramos of Strung Out is a good friend that I've known for 26 years, he's traveled the world and has a blast. He's not rich by any means, but he knows how to live. I have ZERO talent with any instrument or even worse singing or doing anything in front of an audience. Major stage fright with this guy !! Cool

After high school I was racing BMX and worked for Malcolm Smith Distributing pulling orders to ship to dealers around the country. We used shopping carts that had handlebars attached, and also used skateboards. It made for great training all day long, wheeling those around the warehouse. Smile

From there I went to work at BMX Action magazine, working in the darkroom, developing black and white film, and doing prints. During the time there I also learned how to shoot photos, write stories, and put together a monthly editorial package. I later became the editor there.

Following that, I had a short stint as the Redline BMX team manager.

Super BMX and Freestyle magazine followed that. At that point I was doing a complete magazine about every three weeks. When those closed up, I switched over to Mountain Biking magazine.

Next? That was Specialized Bicycles, working in the art and marketing departments for about seven years.

Moving back to So. Cal., I worked at PPI for a short time, before they moved to NASCAR. I also did a stint with a company called Ed2Go, doing educational web sites.

From there it was Transworld MX, and then Vital MX.
Whatever happened to Mike Buff and R.L. Osborne?
Those guys had a huge impact on my childhood.

It's probably been 15 years since I've seen Buff (I think he was delivering bread, last I remember), and I have no idea what R.L. is up to.

Exactly why I took mine, just couldn't get it under the control and then the pills, just hated her & needed to go. Sounds like your kids turned out great! It is a full time job, even leaving work your day is actually just beginning. I got very lucky with the new Mrs, she is every mans dream, does everything for me, no hassle, when I wanted Jet Skis, she let me get Jet Skis, when I decided we needed a boat, she was in on the boat, when we decided we love boating & wanted to upgrade to a Malibu, she let me blow the coin. Spent 3k on the boat stereo, she shook her head & gave me a look but never a word. Never ever a problem with riding & supports me on everything & shes a porn star in the bedroom & has never said no. She is also great with the kids, they were older when she came around so it's a different kind of bond but a good one. Oh! and she just let me pull the trigger on making our garage into a 4 car (40'x22'), will be able to have all the storage and a clean open shop area now! She is deff not a one in a million, she is a once in a lifetime girl.

I forgot to mention a new sideline effort I started: Designing and installing hi powered long range wi fi networks. After successfully bringing hi speed wi fi down into our 3 acres I decided to leverage what I learned and offer my services to others who are down in gulches and valleys like we are with no way to get Internet. Where I live in upcountry Maui many people aren't serviced by TWC or Hawaiian Tel. Or in a lot of cases like us they are too far from a telephone pole so they are SOL unless they go with satellite but that is a metered service so it isn't practical for streaming applications.

We were extremely fortunate that a neighbor up on top of the ridge allowed us to have TWC install a 50 Mbps connection under her house. We also lucked out by getting the last available connection on TWC's junction box. From the TWC modem I connected to a router and access point that beams the signal about 1200 feet down to our old horse stall where the signal is received by a repeater. From there we plugged in another access point with an external outdoor omni directional antenna to distribute the wi fi to our seven users.

This sideline effort was basically an afterthought which came about after I heard a radio spot from Val the Phone Gal and a light went off in my head so I left her a message offering my services. Val installs phone systems plus does moves and adds as well as cleaning up customers cables and cords. Anyway Val called me back and said she had 8 or 9 prospects but first wanted me to earn my stripes on one prospect and I just completed their install before I left for Ohio on the 20th. It is a small retreat center right next to the water in some very rugged terrain. They are very pleased to have reliable connections now with better throughput so Rock the Wi Fi Guy will hopefully pick up some more business in 2015.

After getting my associates degree in surveying in '13, and getting my LSIT (land surveyor in training) cert, I'm now working in the field doing land surveying. The wet/cold is tough, but I like working outside... for now haha.

Spent the better part of my 20's as a rock climbing guide/construction worker/restaurant worker/traveling climber then decided I needed more from the rest of my life. Went back to school and got a degree in mechanical engineering, now Im a design engineer at a company that makes plant tooling for major electrical companies (GE, Square D, Siemens)
