on Christmas Day? No? Slackers! Well, let me tell you, in The Patch, we do it up in STYLE.
Full dinner with all the fixins

Prepared in the latest high tech artisan oven

Should you have partaken excessively in the festivities, or simply need to rid yourself of all that you've over eaten, we have that covered too.

This is known as an "Atmospheric Bidet", since the soothing shower of water is replaced with a blast of artic air.

Of course, no feast is complete without some appropriate music.

Living the dream. Cool Merry Christmas, Vitards.

Merry Christmas Scooter! I took a couple days off but have been working 60+hr weeks for the past month. If anything I just needed the rest.

What exactly are you doing if you don't mind me asking?

DJ, have a Pete 388, short hood model. At 6'6", I have a pretty good size dick, so no need for a huge hood. Laughing

Keyboard, I'm lucky now, this is a job where I'm home every night, but your Uncle is right. Part of the reason why I'm here now, just so done with over the road work.

Fro, when you're stupid busy, it's nice to think about the times when you slow. Then when you're slow, you wish you were busy. Lol Never the right balance. I haul oil and water from wells, oil to a treating battery, and water to a disposal where they inject it back into the ground. Weather has been mild so far, but let me tell you, when it's -40 and the wind is blasting, standing outside loading can make flipping burgers in McDonalds seem pretty tempting. I'm sure skid mark would agree.
The Steed in action, when it was slightly warmer.

Spent 4 days in Vancouver Island right before Xmas, 2 solid days of rain. 2 decent days when it didn't rain. Lol I don't know how you west coast guys do it, Jeffro. I forgot how tough that is to deal with.

Judging by the second pic, there's probably a lot of people who would gladly trade you places....look at that view to the north!

Lol Gear Energy there. Sorry, Prairieboy.

reded, that's my everyday workplace, I'm a pretty lucky guy. Rush hour is 4 cows standing and blocking the gate when I want to leave. I haven't seen a drive-by shooting since, well, I don't remember when. Truthfully, probably since I quit running Philly, and stopped carrying a handgun in the truck. Evil When I'm having a bad day, I think about the times I spent caught in Chicago traffic, and -40, winds, and rough gravel roads seem a lot more tolerable.

I saw that track in the fall, it's brand new. Actually, just got 2 of my bikes out here in October, 2 more to follow in spring. Lol A man can never have too many dirt sickles. That track, at a quick glance, looks a little over the head of a 52 yr old never was. Of course, I could always break out the half litre, and over jump everything. Better sore wrist and ankles than broken bones from a huge short landing. I found another track a few miles away, on 40 acres. Walked it and took some pics, but they don't do it justice. All I can say is "Una fuckin DILLA, baby!"

We get two weeks off as teachers... and still paid full salary every month.

But trucking looks fun, too

Truckers always seem like the most friendly sorts. Any encounters on the farm I might have with someone driving a truck ends in a friendly conversation. They travel around a lot and see a lot of stuff which helps them form opinions. Some of them even become experts in other peoples lines of work.

I cleaned up tree branches from a recent pruning on Christmas morning before heading over to my sister-in-laws in the afternoon to eat and watch her and her husband get soused. Theres some entertainment there as the last few years her husband, when drinking, takes up the Queens English. Imagine the worst British accent being slurred horribly.Unsure
