Hey guys I'm in the process of having a very rare Honda jersey made. Hondaline made these in the late 70's, and Jim Pomeroy would actually race with one now and then.

Here's a picture of me back in the day with one. Note: I had modified mine with red Honda letters on the sleeves. The Team Honda jerseys like Pomeroy wore had the red stripe down the sleeves with the white Honda letters.

Here is the artwork for the ones I'm having made:

As you can see, I'm styling it with the red striped sleeves like the factory Honda ones. Only other difference will be the Bel-ray logo - I'm having it redone to look like the vintage sew-on patch. The jerseys are really nice and include padded elbows.

Ok, now for this company, I had to order a minimum of 6 jerseys. The artwork alone is $180 plus other misc fees. The jerseys themselves are $85.00 apiece. I plan on keeping 3 for myself and selling 3. Obviously I'm only having the name and number put on the 3 I'm keeping. I'm getting XXL for myself, 2 in the normal material, and one vented for hot weather.
If you guys want one, let me know now and I can order the size and material you want. I'm just looking to recoup the $85 for each - I'll eat the other charges. Toss me $5 to mail it to you.

so let me know asap guys if anyone wants one, otherwise I'll just get the extra one in the regular material in XL and try to sell them on Ebay.

That Team Honda jersey never did much for me. I like the first Generation Honda jerseys that Marty Smith wore the best, and there are already repros of them, but IMO all of them are slightly off on the letter size and font.
My second favorite Honda jersey is the one they started using around 1981 when Johnny O'Mara joined the team, it is similar to the original, but the red and white areas are switched, that's the one I wish someone would reproduce. Here is the best picture I can find of it with Chuck Sun wearing it.

Yep all personal preference Donny. My favorite is also the original red/white/blue, but I always liked the one I'm having made due to how rare and unique it was. Personally I didn't like the later ones with the white in the center like the pic you show. Everyone has different tastes.

swatdoc, My question is If Hondaline made them why put a JT logo on there? I would leave it blank like your photo or put DG as seen in the race photo to keep it true to style. Just my 2 cents.

Just my preference. The original I had came with no patches - I had put on the Bel-Ray and DG patches myself. I suppose if I was going to be the most accurate, I would make them with no patches at all. But the majority of the Honda guys back then ran the Bel-Ray patch, and since it's so easy to have the place just add them on to the printing process, I'm just getting them made with the "patches". Just changing it up slightly with the JT instead of the DG..
