RE: The first 2 pictures.....It baffles me why there is SO MUCH free space between the head of the cylinder and the gas tank also how low and vulnerable the silencer is. I understand simplicity in design and engineering but it seems some of that space couldve been used up lowering parts of the bike even lower like the gas tank and lowering the length of the "Mini" side number plates a little further to protect the silencer although the plastic isnt made of steel it can be very effective in dispersing the impact and spreading it out thus protecting the silencer.

I know I sound tedious but it just seems like a lot of open space where some bike parts couldve been placed in there or made thinner and much lighter while retaining the stock size/height of the bike.

If you understood simplicity of design, you would realize that in 2012, Husqvarna produced bigger engines than a 125. Some of those engines were much taller. It wouldn't be simple or cheap to produce a 125 specific frame and body work.

On a side note, I personally LOVE all the room in these kinds of applications. You can actually get in there and do some work without having to first strip the body, tank and subframe like all the modern thumpers.
Yup, same basic frame as the 250F with a different cradle and engine mounts. I had one of these and it was a pleasure to work on! KTM's are pretty good this way too around the top of the engine on a 125/150SX.

Even the KTM 250SX is this way. Not as roomy, but WAY less cluttered than a thumper.

And a yellow powerband.

When you take that away from the green engine you get a blue powerband, which is like the yamaha's, only better because of the dual pipes.

That's the kit that I plan on putting on my bike once I fab up some mounts for the updated shrouds. I was thinking about putting the graphics on white shrouds just to see how it looks.

Are you planning on keeping the nickel pipe? I think the FMF factory pipe would look good

Wanna know a secret? The best combo on that bike was a procircuit and the stock silencer.
