From what I saw watching live timing and the sessions it was during first qualifying practice. Therefore his fastest time during that practise got tossed. Simple as that. He had another shot during second qualifying practice and didn't make it. Other guys where clearly better that day. Move on.

Matthes said the second practice was "wet" (?) and nobody improved their time from the first practice.

So Mike only had one chance to Qualify?... I am lost. It is always something, just saying.

No, He ran 1 lap that would qualify him out of the probably 20 Chances he had, But the AMA singled him out and He didn't qualify.(sarcasm)

That's why Milsaps won. (also sarcasm)

3 pages and we finally have a winner! Thank you for clearing that up so eloquently and bonus points for the sarcasm.

i saw it on practice thread from what bobby m said
So basically you have no idea......................Why come on here and start conspiracy theories?

Your brother has slowly gained some respect back from the moto community. So knock that chip off your shoulder and let him fight his battles. Because you do a great job of trying to make him and his team look bad. Thanks

You are correct. They don't take times based on untimed practices. In those you can stop or cut portions of the track where it's safe.

As I understand it, there are multiple officials watching for riders stopping on the track, including one specific to the joker lane. There was no call made about Millsaps stopping.

If Davi had been penalized, he had additional lap times that would have gotten him into the top 18. Unfortunately, Mike did not. Nor did he make it through the LCQ.

Mike was also told of the infraction as he exited the track, and didn't contest it.

While it's a bummer that he was a DNQ, I think this is much ado about nothing.

Now so far, we have what appears to me to be a series of victimless crimes.
