Leatt actually makes a Leatt GPX Pro neck brace out of Carbon fibre..... Total failure, we broke 3 of them in
1 race season.

No its not, it can be made flexible, ridged etc etc depends on the application, you read one story when someone made some MX fenders that were brittle just to see how light they could make a bike and you think its all the same.

Thats what i thought. There is different variations to approach with different style of carbon fiber. It feels to me like it would be a solution and a future with the right blend and strategy to produce it.

Exactly, there are so many different ways to build with carbon fiber and Kevlar and it cans be made as ridged or flexible as they need it for the application. Different weaves and different resins and you can make it work to build almost anything. It is getting much cheaper to make as that is the biggest deterrent to MX is the cost to develop different parts and what kind of stress they need to endure. I am a carbon fiber junkie, love the stuff
