Love the rear - haven't tried the front. Heard the front is not very good.

Run front and rear. Love the rear, the front can be great in the right conditions and pretty bad on hard packed stuff.

That's a great tire in my opinion. Its designed to absorb more impact than any other tire from what I have heard. It has a unique design to it. The center block is staggered. Good choice, I think you will enjoy it

I got a pair. Front isn't the best over a variety of terrain (not used on proper hard pack yet) but rear seems a real good all rounder.
Being the UK, i'll be switching back to mud tires pretty soon as our 2 weeks of summer are over!!

Yeah the 32 is more designed to bend a little bit for the rougher terrain

If the front is t good on hard pack, what's a good front tire to run with the 52?

I don't speak from personal experience - some said the 32 is good.

I don't have personal experience.

I went with the 32s after some research. One of the mags said they'd prefer the 32 on any terrain, and many others I found voted the 32s. I just rode with them last weekend and it was a huge difference, but I've never tried the 52s so I wouldn't know.

Earlier this year we tested both sets back-to-back at Dunlop's intro. For me, the rears were more about what type of traction you were looking for. On the front though, I primarily use the 32. I only use the 52 when it's complete hard pack.

Any of you guys beside Peelout use the dunlps for offroad. I usually ride enduro and use FIM tires during winter (Metzler sixdays extreme) because they hook in wet rocks awsome and when dry I use Metzler mc4/mc5 or michelin S12 if wet but not rocky, . Anyways, I tried dunlop mx51 and hated them. My question is who has good look with wich geomax and in wich type of soil

Here I ride a very step terrain, and surfaces is mostly clay and rocks.

I have been wanting to try mx71 but dont know if it will hook any at all in wet stones

The Geomax tires are definitely designed for motocross. I would try something from their offroad line (I believe the newest versions are called ATs).

I have the MX 52's front and back on one set of wheels and think they work really well on hard pack.
I have the MX 32's on my 450 and am very impressed with traction in soft loam and even when it's a little more hard packed in the afternoon.
With that said, I run the AT81 front and rear on my EXC 500 and they have been working great for off road/ single track.
I wouldn't waste a nickel on the MX 71's or 51's for ANY terrain. The front 51 is the worst tire I've ever used, except for the MX 71.

52 Rear/32 Front on AZ hardpack is what I found best. When I go to California I run a 32 front and rear. The 32 rear works well on hardpack, but the knobs chunk off rather quick. The 32 front works well on every terrain IMO

The thing is althoug I race enduro, I ride tracks for training and there the FIM tires doesn work well and they dont last so that is why I use mx tires usually. I dont think we get the ATs dunlops here in spain, but I will check it. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up Kyle. I have the 52 rear, and 51FA front. Going to get a 32 front now.

As others have said, the 52 rear is good on hard to intermediate, the front doesn't really shine anywhere, but is a step in the right direction over the 51 front. That tire sucked balls.

I just put a 52 on the front and think it works pretty well for mixed terrain for mx . Definitely better than a 31 . Im running a int Michelin on the back and that tire wears like iron.

The 51 felt like it was moonwalking everywhere but clay.

I'm running the 32 front and rear in the NW and by far the best tire combo. It's soft up here the majority if the time. The rear is wearing pretty fast in these hot months when the track gets hard. I think I'm gonna try the 52 rear and a new 32 Front for CA the next few months.
