Did Tony even cause the crash? Did he put his front wheel to Ward's rear and push him to the wall??
That would tell a lot more.
have your volume up @ regular speed. this one is right from Yahoo news, I don't know if it was doctored or what???
this is some serious shit here. TONY CLEARLY
blips the throttle in this one, then clips him with right rear. why is this different?

first one, looks like maybe not Tony's fault.
this one directly above looks like manslaughter. impact is different with volume up @ normal speed
It was a racing situation that happens way way to often in motor sports and last night it got someone killed.
Shame on racing for not stopping this outdated act/practice of aggressive retaliation during an actual event.
A go pro would settle it ,if he turned right and tried to roost him I'd think it would be trouble for Tony.
Last nite I read 90 minutes or so of tweets and posts coming from there.
Some folks were in a vantage point that made them say he turned right . Ever tweet said he did it on purpose.
No vid did i see till this morning. But, even knowing Tony is a hothead I just dont see why he would be mad for what i saw there.
If there was history and the go pro goes missing then that would not be good.
Plus,
They just had a hell o crash at the Glen, dodged another death. Nascar in damage control over Newman's remarks about barriers.
May have made the difference.
Getting out and trying to yell at someone from the high side is not that wise,

First off, you need to understand how much different those cars are than any other form of racing. Your view to the side is very minimal and your view to the rear is nonexistent. The majority of their steering comes from the rear tires by way of throttle control.
The initial contact is something that happens quite often. When drivers go inside, they always fade wide on the exit of the turn unless they know there is someone beside them. Kevin was trying to make the pass on Tony around the outside and got squeezed out, possibly intentionally, but most likely unintentionally.
At this point, I understand the anger. You're a 20 year old most likely doing this on your own dollar and a millionaire ends your night. I think most people would be pretty pissed off about that.
That being said, you NEVER run out into the middle of the track to show your anger while the cars are in motion. While under yellow, those cars are still going between 40 and 60 MPH depending on the track. Visibility in sprint cars is far from great, as I said above. Kevin was in a black suit with a black car behind him on a dirt track. Also remember the car in front of Tony narrowly avoided Kevin, giving Tony even less time to spot him and react. He would have been VERY hard to see.
I watched the video a million times and here is my opinion on the whole incident. Stewart did rev his engine right before he hit the guy, which could have been a message to Kevin, but most likely it was an attempt to move away from him. Right when Tony revved it, his back end slid out a little bit, most likely steering to avoid Kevin, which was at the exact moment he took another step forward toward Tony's car. Neither one anticipated the other to move at all, and since they both did, that's what caused the contact and eventual death. When contact was made, it forced Tony's car to pull right, which would look terrible to anyone not familiar with Sprint Car Racing.
In the video, it does appear Tony is traveling a little faster than the car in front of him. This is most likely due to the attempt to avoid him by turning left. Unfortunately, the camera moves right when we needed it to be still, so it can't be clear exactly what happened. This whole novel of a post is just my opinion, but I hope it cleared some things up. I know Tony would never do it on purpose. It's a really sad situation where Kevin's, or possibly Kevin and Tony's, temper(s) caused the death of Kevin.
1) never saw the driver on the track and contact was purely accidental. This also assumes the engine rev was from another vehicle. Or
2). Tony knew he had hit the #13 the lap prior, saw the driver on the track, and tried to "send a message" by accelerating past the driver (engine rev attributed to Stewart), which kicked out the rear end and made contact.
Mistake #1 was the kid exiting the vehicle and confronting the other driver. However, If scenario #2 is plausible, then it's a case of criminal negligence, regardless of the young racer's antics. At this point we need FTE's position and what Tony Stewart might expect in both criminal and civil court.
Regardless of the outcome, Stewart is no longer a team owner and multi-time NASCAR champion. He is now that guy who hit and killed a fellow racer.
