and the 2 minute card is up. I pull in the clutch and put the bike in 2nd gear. I then see a guy on my left walk up to the open starting gate with a broom, and start sweeping all of the dirt in the gate.......right into my gate when the 2 minute board is getting ready to flip.

I look left, and throw my right hand up, and this is my face:

And the guy looks up at me like I was a ghost and wasn't even there - then sweeps all the dirt off my gate while the girl turns the board to 30 seconds.

Seriously though? I'm getting ready to launch my 250, and you don't think It'll roost the gate next to mine when I do?

All in all, I'm not too worried about it - I just have my starting ritual, and this guy threw me off.

Couple weeks ago while I was up in Minnesota my class, the 55+, was dropping second gate together with the 40B. I tapped the guy next to me on the shoulder (he was in 40b) at the 2 minute board and gave him a 5-5 signal with my hand telling him (I thought) that I was in the 55 class and no threat to his start. Gate drops later and he stalls...I come up later for the second moto and he tells me I messed up his concentration. I of course felt like an idiot and apologized.

The next week in Millville again he is on the same drop...I apologized again and started waaay on the other end of the gate from him.

I won't be doing that signal again.

Lol messed up his concentration!Laughing If that messed up his concentration that dude has no business being on a dirtbike! Can you image how bad those damn guys revving their bikes next to him must distract him.Whistling

For the record, I would definately want someone to tell me if there were not going on the same gate drop, so I think you did the right thing.
