Hello,
I would like to just take this opportunity to post a quick introduction to www.peersponsor.org. Though crowd funding may not be for everyone, we feel like the product we are offering can provide opportunities to some motocross athletes that may not otherwise have these opportunities due to financial constraints. We all know that motocross is a demanding sport, not only on our bodies and our machines, but also the bank accounts of those riders and their families trying to "make it". We have this vision that the motocross industry as a whole; fans, business's, and industry leaders, can come together and, through small donations, make a difference in some of these riders careers. Why not just use GoFundMe? Well, GoFundMe has a phenomenal product, and they no doubt are one of the leaders in the crowd funding world, but they are not dedicated to motocross, and they have no reason to give back to the sport. Our plan is to be able to eventually offer discounts and sponsorships to athletes successfully raising money on our platform, and using it to further their motocross careers. To prove this, we are offering to waive our platform fee, which is normally 5% on amounts raised, to the first 5 approved campaigns to run on our site, (our payment processor's fees will still apply which are minimal @ 2.9% + .30 cents per transaction). We say approved because not every campaign submitted will be approved. We cannot allow garbage on our site, and we will not accept campaigns that appear suspicious or malicious in any way. In order for you, and us to become successful, we need to uphold the highest level of integrity and transparency with our users, and their campaigns. Contributors will not take the site seriously if we do not. If you or someone you know is a good fit to give crowd funding a try, please send them our way so they can take advantage of the 5% savings. Remember, the platform you use (i.e. GoFundMe, Kickstarter, etc.), does not much matter with crowd funding since the user drives most of the traffic to their campaigns through their own networking blood sweat and tears. As we grow, we will no doubt raise the bar with advertising on our end, but for now we have to stick with the common social networking techniques used by other startups with limited resources. Though we are intending to be used mainly for racing expenses for amateurs and privateers, we would for sure cherish an opportunity to help and support anybody's needs in the motocross industry. We are a startup with limited resources, but like I said before, the campaigners drive most of the traffic to their campaign, so if you are willing to put together a bio and submit a campaign for Burrito, we will be happy to help you guys raise money for him. And in honor of our word, there will be no platform fee from Peersponsor.org, (that will save 5% on amounts raised vs. using GoFundMe, putting more money in Burrito's pockets). There will still be the typical fee from our payment processor, WEPAY, but that is minimal. Thank you for this opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you!
