David has gone through a lot and is learning to walk again. He could really use some help in getting a hospital bed in his home to continue his recovery. Will provide information later on where to contribute for those who want to but want to send this flare up to see how many of you remember burrito from the Motonews days....think he also made a view appearances here.

Full on hard core MX guy and does a lot of good things for those in need especially animals. I want to send some help in his direction as he's due and could really use the help.

That's the same guy -- I remember meeting him from racing in Virginia in 05-06. Nice guy, definitely loves the sport. What happened to him?

Burrito has had some health issues that left him in the hospital and physical therapy for the past few months. While he was in the hospital, he developed a hole in his foot. He is recovering at home from what I know but still has some lingering issues. Burrito is one of the toughest dudes I know.

Can you believe what a small world our MX community is Mark?

To all: Would that kickstarter site be a good one for burrito's hospital bed fund? If not what is best way?

I think something like GoFundMe would be better than Kickstarter. I think kickstarter is more for trying to start up ideas or businesses.

Just traded FB messages with burrito and he is blown away at the support. Amazon has the bed he needs and it is 800 bucks with free delivery.

Thanks Dennis! I just submitted the campaign to Peer Sponsor and I should have information on where to send the funds shortly. Paypal would work but then we couldn't see the progress towards the goal. Peer Sponsor is waiving their fees and I will reimburse Burrito for the money the Wepay folks deduct from the donations for handling the donations so in the end Burrito will see every penny people donate.

The only MX burrito I've known was Carlos Serrano on his maico from AZ when he would come up to Colorado to get his ass kicked by BOO Stichter at money races! I will gladly toss a few bucks in the pot to help this fellow out, dial it in dudes and let me know where to send a few bucks. Oh yeah Juan Benavidez (So Cal) was one fast MX burrito as well

Good man Regis! Thanks for throwing in the $200.

UPDATE-We are 26 percent of our way to the goal of $1000. The bed is around 800 but with sheets, bed protector, etc thought I would aim high so there isn't any out of pocket to burrito to get this bed set up in his home.

I was FB messaging with him last evening and he wasn't aware of our efforts. He said after reading this thread of Vital MX he had tears in his eyes. I told him all the good he did is just starting to come back to him during his time of need and that people haven't forgotten what a good man he is.
