What would happen if they let 250 smokers in the 250 class?

On the race track though Crush? I have seen quite a few people here buy 2 strokes for fun and keep their four-stroke and with a couple of months they are over pre mixing fuel before going out for a quick ride and are back on their four bangers.

On the race scene, a few riders in A grade are make the switch from 250F to 250 two stroke, B grade not so much and C grade a couple race them and most that do make the switch go backwards through the field.

Certainly more two strokes over the recent years at the track in general, and there is no doubt the new two strokes from KTM and Husqvarna are nothing like a pre four-stroke boom 2 banger. the power spread in those bikes is broad and useable, they are fun to ride, but four strokes still well out number the two bangers.

I would rather see the two bikes separated on the race track, scrap the 19s and run a 250F and a 250 two stroke class at a national level.

Yeah there are still more 4 strokes racing, particularly open classes, no arguments there, but the practice days you just see more and more 2 strokes.

I changed back to a 350 cause i'm a lazy vet! But if I could have two my other bike would be a 300 or 150! Just for the fun factor.

the AMA are just a bunch of greedy old men. The placed the 2 stroke ban to eliminate small teams in favor of big business teams who were going with the 4 $troke progressive movement. The AMA knew they could raise fees if there were more large teams who would be willing to pay. Eliminating 2 strokes was just a conspiracy by the AMA to get more money and ticket sales for supercross and outdoor nationals.

Let's just imagine for a moment that they were legal. Let's also say that at some national the top qualifier in the 450 class is at 2 minutes flat. The top 250f is a 2:00.6? Where would someone like Musquin be on a really well prepared 250SX? 2:00.3? If so, then he would be very competitive in the 450 class. If he were slower than that, then he would be pretty well matched with the 250f's.
