If rockstar racing had tweeted Jason Anderson won the first moto as the white flag came out, but what really happened was he ran outta gas and got passed by Martin, bagget, and the rest of the field he lapped up to....you guys don't think anyone in the MX media would have tweeted something about it? I think someone would have caught it and posted something about it.

Is there a history between Matthes and the MCR/Alessi group? Yes. Did MCR prematurely post that mike won moto 1? Yes. Did Matthes post something wrong or incorrect? No. So what is the BFD here? Oh, yea, that's right...the BFD is that there's a history between the groups. A history of the Alessi group saying or doing things that are not correct, and then Matthes, a journalist in our sport, reports on those factually challenged assertions, statements, stories....and then everyone gets in an uproar.

I think that is a very fair assessment except add the following.....There is also a history of Matthes helping Mike, having Genova, Tony and Mike on his internet show, he's helped clear the air many times for them in adverse situations and given them an avenue to "make peace" with the industry so to say and despite those efforts, both public and private (meaning without recognition), he still gets shit on and disrespected by Tony. They dont love him or thank when he does something good for them (entitlement) but they sure do hate on him when he does something that they dont approve of.....double edge sword and I'd guess he's finally had enough.

He tweeted it because of his own personal feud with Tony. He didn't do it to report the news. If it was any other team that this happened to it wouldn't have ever been reported. I don't have a dog in this whole fight, but if you don't think he did this for his own personal satisfaction then you're sadly mistaken.
I assure you that if any other team had Tweeted they won a race before the race was actually over and then they didn't. I would have also tweeted about that.

I don't even follow them, two of my followers sent it to me and I had to laugh.

BTW, word I hear is that TSA took the Alessi's oversize tank out of their luggage hence the stock tank at Gopher Dunes.

There was another issue with what happened to that tank. Not what your saying.

The fuel got to low at 300cc and it started to bubble and turned into a vapor and exited the tank.

Ok, I asked because I thought you were implying there was another reason for not having an oversize tank.

I don't understand why the Alessi's always think you're out to get them. Literally everything you say about them, the team, Mike, or Tony Jeff says you're wrong. You're in the media, you report what you hear. If anything it's good that you even care to talk about them or give them exposure, as you're the biggest media guy there is in moto (along with Guyb). Keep doing your thing Matthes. I love what you do for the sport.

Jeff, dude, come on. This is exactly what I was talking about earlier. Just let it to go. Your family is part of a professional race team. Which will make them the subject of scrutinty. It's part of it. Get over it. Either act like a professional or just move along. That was the exact type of response that escalates these situations instead of making them fade away.

If doing "what ever it takes" means doing something stupid Jeff, I hope your team realize they are in a different county and well......we don't cry up here, we let things get decided on the ice, and we let things "go for a bit"....

He is just another one of us man. Why do people put riders up on a pedestal? Jeff has said it himself that he is just here to be one of the guys. That's how I feel about all these guys. We are all peers.

Thank you for excepting me Cygnus, why do I have to be perfect when all else has flaws! I'd rather be human and me then someone trying to get a friend that I won't get. The real people that know me know I would move mountains for them and the people that put molls in front of me they know I'll plow through. I'm a realist and that's the world we live in especially here on vital.
