Videos like that make me wonder what happens to those guys.... Like that poor fucker who hit that steel ramp at a speed way and flat landed right on his head on asphalt....
As an 180 lb guy I shouldn't talk but... For some reason these are always funnier when an overweight person wads it. Their reaction to "my face is about to hit the ground" is just slow enough to not prevent said face from eating dirt.
I keep meaning to post this for you Jeff and I keep forgetting.. Only something you could appreciate.. (my 801):

Nice! Love my Tamiyas. Mostly 1/10 indoor electric (201 and 502) as well as an 801 with only a few runs on it.

Not too often you find another Tamiya junkie! They are definitely money pits!
I find my TRF801x converted to EBuggy (Tekin) actually handles better than any other 1/8 scale buggy I have ever seen. My 1/10 stuff is a DB01RR (with a lot of 501 parts) and my 2WD is actually AE... I really wanted a 201 but it did seem a little behind and I am tired of buying hundreds of dollars in parts just in case, and you know hobby shops don't carry parts. Here is my other two racers:
MxKing809, I'll trade ya.. Straight up?
That KTM is art.. Very nicely done bike,
Ezza, I have heard of simulators, but that is just bitchen!! Awesome graphics! I love that you can even see the exhaust. Thanks for sharing!
I know the thread got derailed.. Sorry about that guys. At least it hasn't gotten moved to the dumbgeon yet, a little bit of extra content to keep it around

I saw your posts on RCTech in the 801 section. I am in the Seattle area, very far detached from the Tamiya scene in SOCAL (and all of the parts you can actually buy locally!). I know a lot of David Jun, but never met him. They are spoiled down there near TamiyaUSA, Trackstar, TQ, etc. It is almost dumb running Tamiya anywhere else due to the expense and parts availability only online, OTOH, it is nice to drive something a little more exotic and different.

I use to post on there a lot with my username but awhile back made an alias, I am still on there. I loved my 801s, I always felt like I had a super high quality buggy everytime I drove and it looked awesome with all the blue! however I ended up going to losi when they supported me back in 10-13 with discounts and also I got to drive at the test track whenever and that helped me get better really quik especially cause I was going through my feet injuries and had free time. If you still have the 801 truck you should put the rear buggy tower on the front of the truck, it makes the truck handle a lot lot better through the rough stuff.

That is pretty rad that TLR picked you up like that, I don't blame you for being a traitor :D Tamiya isn't very good about sponsorship packages like TLR and especially AE are in the states. Racing buggies is probably the best medicine for an injured rider like you have been through. Most of the guys at the track are great to be around too, with exception for the one knucklehead GuyB made friends with.

Lol monster trucks were before my time, I would always run truggies. Here's a video of me winning open class at silver state, I came from almost a lap down because my engines leaned out beyond driveable cause of weather going from snowing to 90s over night so I had to make a pit stop to get my engine tuned right thankfully Jeramy Kortz was helping me all week n so I went back out there and dealt with a minor lean bog after retuning on lap 2. the rest of the main went good n I was able to pass everyone and then actually come around to battle with the guys going for 2-5, it was an awesome experience. I just knew how to handle the bumps where everyone else ran like it was a smooth track, all the years of riding rough nasty dry desert tracks in the high dez gave me that advantage. http://youtu.be/usE_yz_dIDs
Jeff, Jerarmy ran WERKS engines and fuel. He was very fast. I was sponsored by them.
That Silver State race we would wear Goggles, the wind and sand was blowing so bad!
Fun stuff!
Nice, after that race I changed engines to werks and havnt had any problems with them. That weekend was insane, it snowed during one of my races and was windy in every other qualifier. The mains were sweet tho.
