Not sure how you guys are getting all twisted about bike brands. At the moment I can't think of anything I give less of a shit about.
So it's more than just not having real bikes to choose from, it's also the fact that the rider and bike don't seem to be the right scale. The rider IS ALWAYS SITTING DOWN, and he looks freaking HUGE on a bike that looks like a super mini. The body movements don't resemble the movements we all see when we watch the races on TV or feel when we ride (unless you're Doug Henry or Ricky James).
I remember seeing Alive gameplay and I hoped it would be better come release date. I was let down then, so I have no reason to expect anything better this time around. Out of all the changes that took place, you'd think they would have spent the little bit of time to adjust rider and bike size ratios. It looks goofy, and it's annoying to watch, which distracts from the experience.
But I'm all for better physics. Realistic physics makes it more fun. Motocross is a beautiful thing, and it needs to feel in a game as good as it looks in person. But I personally think real physics mixed with more arcade-style features, tracks, mini-games, etc., is the way to go, and of course strong online play. Career modes, replica tracks, upgradable bike parts--yawn. Make the thing play well first.
OK, OK, playing Thunder Valley or Millville would be pretty sweet. (And how is it possible that a game hasn't put an SX track on the infield of a NASCAR loop yet?) I'm just stretching to make a point.

I think what we're going to have here is Untamed with track deformation and rider reflex, and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Look, I've said it before and I'll say it again: As long as the multi-player mode is solid and promotes good, fun, racing, I'll be happy.
I'm stoked for the game.
game looks somehow 100% better only a few days later with a capable demo rider controlling it.
17 tracks? awesome
dlc....sigh.
this vid turned my excitement back on for the title though- i'm a mark though and mx content is so limited that i pick up almost any title that drops.
Vitalmx
like others, i could do without the pre-load, but it's definitely not a deal breaker for me. anyone else notice dude was still pre-loading almost everything?
tracks look awesome and i'm glad they went wider like the Reflex and Unleashed games. Untamed and Alive were WAY too narrow, you just banged into other riders all the time and it got frustrating.
looking forward to the release.
