Cycling from SAC to Hangtown

Is anyone pedaling to Hangtown this weekend? I plan on taking Amtrak from Oakland on Saturday morning and biking along the American River bike trail to the track. It would be cool to ride with some fellow moto fans, shoot me a PM!

Have you been to Hangtown before? The bike trail doesn't take you right to the track... Sorry if you already know this. Don't want a moto brotha stuck in BFE!

There's back roads to the track. The back roads don't have shoulders at all though.

Thanks for the heads up, I've never been to Hangtown. It looks like the bike path will get me to Prairie City Rd. and then I'll have to share the road for a mile or two, not too bad. Hopefully there won't be any beer bottles flying at me. See y'all at the race!

I think you should take Raining Yellow with you. He seems like a high-energy dude who would be up for a cycle ride.
