So I know you can't bring in glass bottles to the race, but can you bring in canned beer? Or is it no alcohol at all, period?

Thanks

Cooler full of beer cans? I just want to be sure because I know you definitely can't bring in any alcohol at Millville. They search your shit and throw it all out.

It's called "HIDING" dumbshit. Get creative.

And they don't "throw it all out" .... there's a killer club party off of your stupidity.

Do you know you don't get to just drive on in to Thunder Valley? You have to park a ways away and walk your shit in? Where exactly would YOU hide a 30 box of beer? Maybe you shouldn't answer that.

Also, I give zero fucks what they do with the beer at Millville after it's left my possesion. And I never said that I got caught at Millville, I was simply using it as an example, dumbshit.

And yes a wheelie cooler is the best way to go. I wish I could find a backpack cooler.

Ok, let me rephrase my question.... Are you allowed, is it legal, to bring in canned beer to the races? I understand that you bring in canned beer, but are you sneaking it in illegally or is it perfectly ok to do so?

.

You don't have to worry.
Lakewood is about as far from Unadilla roudiness as you could possibly get.
Surprised you don't hear golf claps.
Seriously it's the mellowist Nat I've ever been to.
I don't think old school Unafuckindilla is great for the sport, but sure wish LW would
wake it up a bit.

I'm not worried about the roudiness of it. I just want to know if you're allowed to bring a cooler full of beer. Is it legal, per their rules? When they search my cooler, are they going to tell me I can't bring in the beer, should they see it???

I never got searched, usually when I go through the line is pretty long and they try and get you through as fast as possible to relieve the long wait in the heat. just do like some say on here bring a wagon to carry your 30 in a cooler under some snacks water and pop. and plenty of ice!

They have NEVER opened my cooler in the five years I have gone (not even at the MXDN). They just asked me if I had any glass, and of course I did not (way too heavy to pack around glass bottles).

No Canopies or easy ups! this sucks. We bring one every year and never had an issue. People pop down and share our shade during the whole race. What a joke.

The had the same rules last year but there still were tents and popups as shown by the pic, but my rule it is better to ask for forgiveness than permission

You know, that's exactly what I thought. Well, I emailed them and David Clabaugh emailed me back saying "no alcohol is allowed". So i guess that answers that. Not the answer I was looking for.

Will the LITES class continue the race to the RED ZONE?

Will Geico vs. PC vs Tomac vs Bagget vs KTM materialize?

Will Dunge continue his CO dominance?

Will Coors Light develop a 'pop top'? OOPS wrong thread...backpack, ice, ice bag...

Back when Glen Helen had the nats, they also said no alcohol. They never really dug through the cooler though. Best thing to do is find someone camping who will drive your cooler in. At least here they didn't really check vehicles. Pala wouldn't let you bring in a cooler with water last year.lol.

Get creative, buy one beer there so you have the cup, then just fill it the rest of the day with your beer.. Shhhh done't tell DC..laughing

noone was hiding their beer at the MXoN that was held there. thats for sure. lol.

I know that this thread is super old, so this post may slip through the cracks. But in 2012, I noticed "no glass" as one of the event rules for Thunder Valley National, but never said anything about no alcohol. I went to the National that year with a wheelie cooler with booze not even thinking that it wasn't allowed in the race. Security didn't say anything and never had to hide our beers during the race. Now, I noticed that the 2014 Event Rules specifically states, "10. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT IN! Coolers: All coolers will be searched by security personnel". So does this mean that security has increased over the past two years? I was bummed to read the update to the event rules.
