This clip made me think of Reed... not like a dumbass psycho, but the non-violent and intelligent type.

I wonder how many other top pros are benefiting from their psychopathic symptoms?

Not sure about the riders but that video sure does describe a few in the moto industry. Smile

Man, sucks this thread is in the dumbgeon. I'm a professional therapist and found the video thought provoking - but extremely misleading to the common viewer. He highlights similar traits that could apply to many successful people, but leaves out the most important characteristic that makes someone a genuine psychopath: the lack of empathy, and/or concern for other people's emotional and physical well being.

to succeed in anything at a high level, whether athletic or academic requires an extreme level of determination and persistence, and optimism to overcome challenges, etc., but that doesn't make someone a psychopath. The problem with this video is that it plants the seed of association in people's mind.

It does plant the seeds of association, but nonetheless psychopaths are all around us, so moto's no different; it's just fascinating to ponder the helpfulness of lacking empathy.

It's kind of odd this thread got tossed to the dumbgeon, but then again, I've never seen GuyB engage in any meaningful thought provoking conversation. Snarky sarcasm is about as deep has his online persona gets, which is pretty fucking disgraceful.

From 1:05 Fearlessness, mental toughness, coolness under pressure, focus... I was thinking RC/RV.

I race with a really nice guy but when he puts on his helmet he goes nuts! Could he be a psychopath?
