talk about coming in under the radar! I knew he had a consistent and healthy season but Shorty had the most combined points in the 08 season. Obviously with Chad sitting out MX and James hurt for SX, that helped his cause. But i still thought that was a cool fact to see. He's re-signed with Honda, yes?

on TWMX's site you can vote for the Racer of the Year and FMXer of the Year and they had facts on each rider. So thats what was listed for Short. Quite a good year!

For the health of the sport Monster should throw the huge money at the "grand national title" instead of the triple crown stuff. Might get more factory riders interested in both series and being consistent in both series.

Did anyone else notice the disparity on the votes between FMX of the year and Racer of the year??

James is leading the racer poll with 900 votes. Robbie Maddison is leading the FMX poll with nealry 4,000 votes!!!

Total votes for Racer = 3900. Total votes for FMX = 19,700!!

pretty sad if you're a Moto fan..... Sad

Under the old points system, Short would be #2 for '09, Stewart #3, Ferry #4, Villopoto #5.
