I ride a 2009 YZ250 currently, but on every bike I've owned, I've had issues with front brakes overheating and fading. I've tried a few things to combat this, Braking oversized rotor, Steel braided brake line, some motul brake fluid with a very high boiling point (don't remember the name but it's a gray bottle with a red cap). These things have helped to some extent, but without fail I still manage to boil the fluid after a day of hard riding. I've also noticed that the new pads that came with my braking rotor- with about 5 rides on them, are changing colors like a pipe would when it overheats so I know they're getting hot too. I drag my front brake a bit in the turns, but I don't think I'll stop doing that at this point, so any suggestions on how to keep cool or am I doomed to melt brake pads forever? Thanks!

About all you can do if you insist on dragging the front brake is to use the very best brake fluid you can find and maybe create an air scoop for the front brake caliber. I would suggest that you try to not drag the front brake as much.

Are you sure your MC is in good condition? A weak return spring will cause the brakes to drag even if you aren't on the lever.
