I got a 2014 yz250 ha about 4 hours on it and I been running pump gas 93 non ethanol. A friend said it wasn't good for the new two strokes said I should run atleast 100 octane. Is this true? Thanks

In general, NO!
But with that said, Yamaha YZ 250's do need a higher octane than most 2 strokes.

In most cases I would say yes it would be ok to run 93 octane, but in your bike it would be better for it to be a bit higher to prevent known pre-ignition issues.

No. Do NOT run pump in a YZ. Run 50-50 Pump Race Gas.
