Whats up Guys
this is my 2002 cr250 project. my dad bought this bike new back in 02 at motoworld of el cajon. he handed it down to me about 4 years ago and has been my race bike. right now it isnt running well. the cylinder head is messed up (think its warped), needs new water pump seals, new fork seals. and needs a rear wheel or just new spokes. its been in this shape for about 3 months now and i didnt have any money to fix it. (im 17) but i just got a job and now i can fix up my dream bike! i would love to hear some suggestions you guys might have to make this bike look and run great!

If you're looking for bang for your buck ideas, a PWK airstryker carb w/ a jd jetting kit and a 05-07 thinner base gasket on the cylinder would be the way to go. on top of that gasket, sending the head out to RB designs and have him cut it too the fuel you are wanting to run. The 05-07 gasket lowers your cylinder and head so it bumps compression slightly (but corrects a port timing mismatch from factory for better response down low) and might lead to pinging on pump premium (least that's the case for me). I haven't lowered my cylinder but cut the head and have my squish right around .050", My 02 wants at least a 50/50 mix of 100LL or VP.
Thumpertalk has a bunch of really cool rebuild threads on 02-07's, bothe 125 and 250 if you're looking for inspiration in the looks department
hope that helps get you started!
