I bought new in 2002 and only ridden 5 or 6 times. It sat for a few years without being cranked so I took it to the dealer and had them go through it.When I got it back it ran but missing at low RPMs and wouldn't idle so I took the carb off and cleaned it myself and it still does the same thing and half cranks and runs.I looked on eBay for a new carb but there is nothing there. It's such a hassle to take it to a shop and if they didn't fix it the first time I feel I would be wasting MORE of my time. Thanks in advance for any help!

Try replacing the pilot jet. I have an 07 YZ450 that I don't ride that much, does tha same thing after it sits for awhile. Local tuner told me the ethanol in the gas does bad things to the brass jets. At $5 it's a cheap fix.

X2 Pilot jet is clogged. Avoid the ethanol, it does bad things to everything.

If you're not going to ride the bike for more than a couple of days, drain the tank and carb. Dump the fuel into your truck. The next time you go riding, put fresh fuel in the bike.

The bike will run better, with far less issues if you take the couple of minutes to do this.
