So, If you haven't seen my YZ125 rebuild thread then let me fill you in, Bought a new clutch cable for it and I have every damn adjustment all the way out and it still is to loose and the clutchs slipping, How can I remove all the slack from the cable that I'm getting? And yes its the proper cable but it just seems to have to much slack. Please help as I'm in dire need of some braaaps this weekend Smile cheers

You did not state what year bike it is!
With that said....Does your bike have an external clutch arm on the case?
If so, the orientation of the arm may be incorrect!

2005 YZ125, I'm not sure what your talking about, But from pulling the ignition cover it seems that the little arm the cables connected to has way to much slack and just hangs

You talking about parts # 23? If so, did you loose part # 21? Without that little ball, you will never get the clutch to work correctly.

Also you original question states the clutch is slipping.....( causes are different that the cable issue.)
What oil do you have in it?
Who did the work on the clutch?
Was it put back together as per the service manual?

The clutch is slipping because I'm unable to find enough tension to get the clutch to fully disengage

Was the clutch pull fine before you took the old plates out and replaced them?

And when you rode the bike for the first time, was this an issue or something that just recently happened?

I am sorry, but that does not have anything to do with the problem you stated.......
When you put in the new clutch, did you also make sure you put the ball back in it?
