Rode there this weekend, and I must say that place is amazing!! The scenery is just surreal, and best of all you get to take it in while ripping your dirt bike!!!

here's a little vid of my truck, I'll post some moto/ scenery pics later...

That was Horsefall, basically the southern end of all the dunes

dune riding is a blast.
We're going to little sahara Oct 3rd for the weekend. Not quite Oregon, but still lots of fun.

long before the Crusty Dirt Demons came out oh...1983, I believe, I was at Horsefall with friends on my 82 CR 250 and said "hey guys, watch this." It was a beautiful 100 foot drop into hell (soft sand w/o a paddle that no amount of panic reving helped). One massive endo later, I'm lying in the hospital thinking this scar will last forever. So far, it has.

China Hat is a great O/R riding area. Never raced it but did some GP's and desert races in the same area. If any of you motoheads get up this way with your bike, Pray for rain because the Oregon High Dez with moisture is epic in terms of railing berms.

Back 1990 an old buddy of mine from up that way (Eric Hall) won the China Hat (pro class) on a stock 1990 KTM 125 , against 500's ect..

The best part of all is, if something goes wrong... always happens. Your about 5 minutes away from two dealerships. (who stay well stocked). And the sand is all deep soft beach sand. One of the most beautiful places to ride. EVER.
