Sipes did great for his first (i believe) proGNCC. His lap times faded by several minutes by the end so hes gonna have to get his conditioning up some. the top guys basically have the same lap times at the 3nd of 3hrs as at the start..

Definitely a pretty tough course but there was also a good bit of trail that was a lot of fun in my opinion.

We've already made our way to Georgia and Barry Hawk and myself spent this afternoon getting a loop spot arrowed and starting to get ready for round 2 this weekend. There's some rain in the forecast but it needs it! Dry as a bone at Aonia Pass!

By the way, nice to meet you out in the woods this past weekend GuyB!

unfortunately you're right. its similar to the world rally championship, some of the best racing/driving in the world but almost impossible to broadcast
I respectfully disagree, I think possible, though I am unconvinced it would rate as well as you might think. They use well over 100 staff to crew a nfl game, so I reckon with nfl level budget I could sort good coverage. But good luck finding a sponsor for that.
In saying that, I think the first one to be done well will be motocross ( no I don't think its great tv, good, but not great ), it's a lower hanging fruit, the tough part is the camera angles to show off the skill and danger, but the advances in uav and cable cameras I think make it a possibility, certainly fox have lifted things big time in sx and I fully expect them to continue that with mx.

of course everything is possible with money

the problem is with MX and SX on live TV i doubt any major networks with the money required to buy all the equipment and pay for camera men plus all the other crap, would spend it on GNCC before MX/SX

we have live online streaming through Racer TV and that is just as good or better than on Tv,

I'm thinking they should string a cable line (think something similar to a gondola) and have a remote camera running the cable through the woods high enough above the racers it wouldn't ever be an issue. Like you guys say, it's easier said than done and probably still lots of money but that would cut down on the crew overhead.

JCR's Chris Bach was running a strong 5th with one lap to go an dnf, haven't heard what happened but hopefully he'll rebound at the next round in Georgia. Strong finish for the AmPro InFab Yamaha team with two podiums. Paul Whibley finished 2nd without rear brakes for 2 laps and Josh Strang passed Duvall with a few turns left for a podium. Would be nice to see that Blue without the Orange bikes for a change. good luck!! Sipes hauled in last years ISDE after a few days and hope to see him up front after a few
Super happy Bach picked up a ride. Now there's one less pro to run me over at all the local XC races Laughing

Last round there was a downpour. It's crazy now these guys can ride in this stuff for 2 hours. They shortened the race.

Watched it on racertv.com definitely a mudder good racing Russell worked his way from the back. Almost had a xc2 guy win the overall.
