Huck, do you have any idea as to why those tracks got shut down? I'm sure funds just ran low, that's pretty much everyone's reasoning to stop anything with motocross unfortunately. But, regardless, I'm curious. If this thing gets moving we sure could use a forum celebrity like you to help us out and spread the idea.
The second one, I wasn't sure. You had to go way back off the interstate, through what looked like a failed real estate development. The track was awesome though. Had some natural terrain to it. Even had a full irrigation system.
If you get it up and running...I'll make an appearance there...if Todd will be there!
(i had a video of it, but couldn't find it. Here is some other dude)

Someone might be able to take over the lease at West Fl. Mx Park. I am not sure if their
closing had to do with the rumor that the bank was getting all the property back at
Walton Plantation, which the park was part of.
He moved farther down south and leased or subleased to Kevin King, I believe.
Like I mentioned in my previous post, not sure why he shut down.
The problem today is two-fold. The military owns much of the land in NW Florida and what they don't own is developed for housing or tourism. Plenty of land in lower Alabama, but the economy SUCKS and no one has any money so there are very few riders in the area on a permanent basis. The West Florida track is only about 10 miles from my hometown, but it's not close to any population center that has gainful employment. That probably helped contribute to it's demise. It's a shame because I used to race with Woolard at the Pit.
I would love for the area to have another good track or become like Tallahassee and be a center for training. I just don't know if the local economy will help you do it. It's a shame because that landscape is God's Country.
The place is full of drug addicts and criminals (white collar and regular types) and there is no economy other than shipping up oxycontins to the northeast
