I have a crf 250. When I go to start it from cold. I pull the choke out. Kick it and it starts up but then the Idle just remain at a normal idle like if the bike was warmed up with the choke off. After a minute if I rev the bike with the choke on the rpms will raise up to how it should be with the choke on. Any ideas?

Taking apart a carb and cleaning it is not too hard, try google some good youtube vids on a tutorial.

Maybe your choke plunger isn't working and it just keeps dropping back into the carb body

I think the plunger is workijg because if I push it in the bike will die. And yeah I have to check the carb but if a jet was clogged wouldn't it not run right. Once I rev it it comes up to normal choke idle speed. Is there a chance the bike is just too rich and flooding it at first? I am just pulling this out of my ass btw.

Yes there is good chance it's too rich any maybe you should check the float height too
