I don't believe he is "laying back". But I do think it was sort of strange he didn't pull the trigger passing KR Saturday. He is usually the best as quick passes. Not sure if being a friend of your competitor had anything to do with it. But it looked as though he was a little more timid trying to pass KR.

In the post race interview RV was asked if there is any pressure, on which he responded: "No, no pressure. blablabla.. Just for me, I need to get it going again." How clear do you want it? People who think he's laying back should get their heads out of their asses. He's trying as hard as ever, and perhaps its the competition that got better, or he lacks his mojo atm, but he's just not performing as well as expected.

And regarding "Bad races", RV had NONE. He didnt have any bad starts, he didnt have any bad crashes (just silly mistakes all of which were his own fault).

Anyways, all nuthuggin aside, this is an awesome season and alot of things can still happen. IMO RV is still the favorite for the championship (I'd rather see JS or KROC win tho), but theres still alot of racing to go. One DNF for RV and chances are big he's set back to fifth. One bad race, and he could be out for the season.

I don't think RV has lost anything. I think the pace is a little faster and finally Bubba is riding better. I don't think he is holding back either, as he already has crashed more than Bubba. BUT, I do think over the long haul RV is a little better than the rest, and is for sure the favorite for the title. It would be great to just keep the points close to the end. Runaway points leaders makes it much less enjoyable.

I dont know if this has been mentioned or not cause I dont read every post....

But RV isn't laying back or playing things safe.

He's struggling with a special worx tire. Thats it. As soon as they get it sorted then u will see RV battling for wins again.
