I have a 2001 KX250 that I've put quite a bit of time into getting up to snuff. I'm almost there, and it dawned on me the other day while going through my older 2008 KX250F plastics that the shrouds would almost bolt right on, as well as the front fender and front number plate. The rear fender will take some work, and the side number plates are best left untouched.

Out of curiousity before I go hacking up some perfectly good 2008 KX250F plastics, has anyone here done a modern plastic conversion on their KX250's, year 2000 and up? Pictures preferred. I'll post pictures of mine should I go through with it as well.

I am wondering the same thing. I have a 2004 kx125 that I want to do a newer 250f subframe, seat, and tank, so that I can have all the new style plastics bolt up. have you found anything out?

I don't remember the specifics, but you want to use a combo of different year 450 and 250 plastics to make it work best on the last gen KX's. There are a few threads on Thumpertalk in the 2 stroke Kawasaki section that have the details, and pictures to boot.

I don't think the tank, seat, or subframe from a 250F will fit though.
