With the second Anaheim the last 2 years being down and the talk of how rough Oakland is what are some other cities/venues that Feld could use in January to take there place?

A1 was and was listed as 45000 and says was sold out. A2 was listed at 40000. Looked more like 35000.

Oakland had a good crowd and the race went pretty damn smooth...so, what's you point?

Matthes and others talking about how the stadium is a dump. Northern Cal needs a round bc they have good crowds and maybe they will move to Levi Stadium, but what can replace an Anaheim round?

The peoples hating on Oakland probably weren't there. Good crowd, I haven't seen it that packed in the past few yrs. I actually had to sit in the seat I bought not shuffle around in years past. Good track and god racing. I'd like to see the 49ers stadium pick a race up in the future. It'd be awesome to get 2 nor cal races.

How about the new 49ers stadium they are building in Santa Clara? My old stomping grounds.

I'm pretty certain we already had this exact thread, but I'll post the same as last time. Come to Portland! The weather might be crappy, and Jeldwen might be our only good stadium option, but still!

I'd love to see it at the home of the Timbers. Stadium built in 1926 and renovated to seat 22,000. Guaranteed sell out.

How about more races in other parts of the damn country. There's too many races there, it's ridiculous that there are 3 freakin Anaheim races. And don't pull the "well the industry is there " line. They are in business to perform for the fans, not the damn industry.

22,000 is no where near big enough. Feld won't put a race at a location unless it holds 40,000. Sam Boyd is as small as it will go

This is how I feel. Living in pa its a far drive to any sx race. I'm glad they have the NJ race this year. Hopefully I can get some tickets and get my ass there

It's not the industry,

It's the weather and the season needs to be over for football to move back east for the domes.

And unfortunately Jeldwen is the largest stadium area-wise. There's no way the Rose Garden (Moda Center) could hold a supercross track.

Add another northeast race to the eastern circuit then make Arlington a west coast round so that both Texas rounds are the same coast again. Then you add Denver for a west coast round right before Vegas. Denver's Sports Authority field could easily fit a supercross race.

I would like to see them put a early round up in Vancouver BC. When they did the World split series attendance was extremely low so I don't know if it would work but in my opinion Vancouver is the best city to visit in North America. If it was a regular round I think they could get attendance up to par in a few years.

I understand why, I would just like to see it personally. I'm sure they could erect enough stands in the open end to get it to 30,000 for the event (if worth their and felds time). That place is smaller because it's a soccer pitch. The noise would be incredible. They have always had problems with places like Jacksonville, Orlando, New Orleans, Anaheim 3 and so on. Going to massive stadiums and barely getting 20,000. Why not pay less (potentially) to use the stadium and open up a new market? They might even get some making the trek to Seattle if its a close championship.

I think using stadiums like Portland and San Jose would be a huge step backwards for Supercross. They have better options in the Bay Area and Portland both the metro area and stadium are too small..

Big deal. The Silverdome was a dump, too, and I've seen people complaining that they want an event back there.

I've also seen people claiming they want a race back at the Coliseum. It's a historic dump, but it's a dump.

Autzen Stadium(which holds 54k) in Eugene Oregon would be a neat spot.
NorCal folks could come up and then all the NW folks in Nothern Oregon & WA and the folks from over in Boise.
I think Sam Boyd in Vegas only holds 40k (to give an idea of size).
Autzen also is very close to I5.
It would be a straight shot up I5. 15 to 16 hours from about the Angels Stadium area/SoCal.

Pretty neat press box also.

Weather can be hit and miss in Eugene, its Oregon, 70 degrees and sunny one day, 55 and showers the next... It would be just as bad as Seattle

Is that why Salt Lake City supercross got kicked? Bad weather, or not enough sales? I remember one year it was snowing during the main events. It was exciting but I'm sure the riders were not thrilled!

Being Eugene is in the middle of nowhere I don't think more than 5,000 would show up.
