There was alot of hope coming into this season, and now, only two races in, it seems like a HUGE hole to climb out of!
This won't be my opinion, just the facts. If you pull the "hater" "response post" in reply well, it'll just show you can't discuss without bias
Okay, here we go. Coming in James said he was healthier, fitter and maybe even faster than he's ever been. Or at least, has been in a long time. Had a great off season and worked his butt off. And prior to this he WON the MEC with a bike that looked dialed.
And this is the result...
A1 Qualifying: (I don't remember specifically, I know it was good)
A1 Heat Race: holeshotted, passed by Barcia, Second Place.
A1 Main: Top ten start, destroying the field up to second, HUGE crash, Seventeenth Place
Phoenix Qualifying: 3'rd first session, crashed hard second session didn't finish, qualified 7'th
Phoenix Heat Race: (I don't remember the specifics) Fourth Place
Phoenix Main: Mid pack start, worked his way up to fourth, Fourth Place
To sum up, that's two crashes, both mangling the bike, a 17'th and a 4'th, which leaves him almost a full race down on points(-21) in only two races!!!
Also of note, reported he was feeling sick for the weekend. No longer 100% healthy.
That's a huge hole to start with so... I ask: Is he still winning this thing - 2014 Supercross Title? Do you feel it's possible?
Me? I don't know of any rider, in any time period, I'd bet on to pull this off with the field stacked as it is. It would be EPIC though

Anything is still possible. RV won the title in 2011 with a DNS. One big mistake by any of these guys and they can be out for the season.
Hmmm, sound familiar?
Post a reply to: So, is he still winning this championship?
