RV was the only guy to make significant moves.

James got Barcia, his other passes were Short and Moss. Reed only got Wey, Moss, and Friese.

If you weren't RV, the start was everything.
Reed's start was bad, really bad. And his pace was rather average.

guys like reed and brayton can get podiums this year but everything has to fall in their favour, they need great starts and the top guys stew rv dung barcia, need bad starts tip overs etc, i cant see reed/brayton coming from outside top 10 to the podium this year. but give em a start and they're in with a shot.

Exactly.
Cool track, but if you were not RV passing proved to be very difficult.

You guys are completely wrong.

Reed's speed is there, it's obviously the bike.

Absent other top riders crashing, Reed is a P5-P10 guy, depending on the track and dirt. At A1...he was P3...because two faster riders took dirt samples. At Phx, no top guys on the dirt...Reed P9. To be expected. Add in Millsaps, Tomac and Canard...and it would look even worse. Who ever takes home the championship this year will have an incredible accomplishment...

Its kinda where I expected him.last week he would of been 5 th but rv n james fell. He will have some break out rides, but he is no title contender imo. The track was shit for passing n slippery. If hes not top 4 this week id say he wil be an occasional podium but more of a 5th to 10th guy.

Seems like he was doing a pretty good job working his way up until he caught Friese around 12th, then his progress slowed. I thought i saw Reed finally make a pretty a aggressive pass on him just before the finish line.

I like Reed but realistically I believe Reed has been "de-tuned" due to the crash that severely damaged his knee. That's a hard thing to recover from with all the pain and surgery he had to deal with.
I say in this crowd of riders if Reed gets a 5th he is doing pretty darn good!! He would have likely finished 5th last week had RV and JS not went down.
We'll see as the season goes.

I'm so sick of all the doubters.

When are you idiots going to learn?1? Reed is a champion and will always be a champion. If he's comfortable he will dominate this series. Time and time again he proves you dummies wrong - Reed has found the fountain of youth and will never fade due to age.

Unless you are James or RV, I feel starts will dictate where you place. The field is extremely close 3rd-10th.

Start in 15th, its going to be a challenge to get a podium for most riders. Reedy is going to need consistent great starts.
