Do Nothing Dungey

As a true Dungey fan I know his program. He starts off slow and by the last 5 laps of the main he is fast as anyone and up front. Practice usually around 5th fastest. Heats around 3rd place. Main 2nd or 1st. Smile Its the smart way to do things, the safest way.

Now lets look at stewart. ALWAYS wins practice. Near the top heat races, main events he rarely wins anymore and crashes a ton. Tons of inconsistency in recent years. He does not have the focus. He has the speed, but not the brains of Dungey.

The reason TRUE Dungey fans always bring up his bad luck is because RV gets way too much credit and RD too little. Those mechanicals Dungey has gotten over the years, you give those to RV instead of RD and Dungey has more championships than RV. So IN REALITY Dungey is EQUALLY as good as RV over a championship. You have to throw out mechanicals that were out of Dungeys hands and not his fault. Whereas RV makes many more mistakes and crashes than RD. He is a tiny bit faster but crashes by himself more and has better luck and a better team and bike that NEVER fail him.

This is the truth and nothing more. Dungey is the honest nice guy that doesnt care about hype and flair and whipping it around or riding dirty. He simply cares about being fast as possible, clean, healthy, the championship. And that is boring to many meat head MX fans and the MONSTER Marketers of SX... Thats why monster SX pretty much completely ignores Dungey. Not to mention RV is Mr. Monster Kawi and the nemesis of RD (and sponsered by red bull)...

I think if RD had been on a Kawi, on that team RV has been on, RD would be owning his @$$ no problem.

And if RD ever decided to get mean and dirty he would be owning even more. But he was raised right and Respect means a lot to him and more people should respect HIM for that! He races respectfully and still kicks ass. Tells you how good and fast he is. He can ride COMPLETELY clean and still beat everyone. He doesnt have to resort to dirty shit to win. Unlike just about everyone else. Like the laughable joke of alessi for instance.

well I feel differently because I though at some point, Dungey's competition would force him to be more aggressive. He's twice (that might be stretching it, but...) the motorcycle rider RV2 is, but he will never beat RV in a championship, all other things being equal, without upping his aggression and intensity levels.

I lost interest in rooting for him. I'm not hating. I just don't want to consider myself a race fan of his anymore. Please enlighten me as to why or how that makes me something.
I was speaking to the OP and referring to a post he had made complaining about a hard pass when he said that winning wasn't as important the to him as much as seeing good racing.

Had nothing to do with you....make whatever you like

That's easy. He pulled 2nd place points. Why do you feel the need to attack that?

being aggressive and being dirty are two completely different things. if you think block passing is "dirty", then your a lost little moto lamb.

meat heads? well, I'm not a meat head. I'm an educated, conscientious person, who also happens to like a good block pass, and respects the ego of someone who has the balls to stuff the best riders in the world into a tuff block.

How about Anderson's pass in the 250 main? you think that was dirty? This isn't F1 racing. It's motocross, and banging bars has always been a part of it. Dirty is something else entirely.

...you prove your ignorance by saying its the bike's fault why RD5 isn't "owning" RV2. I'm pretty sure he got beat by the exact same equipment tonight. or are you just excluding K-roc from "everyone"?

RD had a so-so heat.....but took a damn 2nd in the main and was actually catching Kenny for the lead ( a little anyways ).

And you guys are bagging on him for that? This has always been the way he's raced. He plans on "consistency and it's done him extremely well over the years.

RV said it just like many others have ....." RD is always right there ".........and he is. His wins and championships have proven that.

And this is coming from a "non-hardcore RD fan "............sheeesh.

wow! you really dont understand this thread do you? first of all I never attacked him for where he finished. In fact I didn't "attack" him at all. I just said I'm not a fan anymore. how the fuck is that an attack?

you stll didn't answer why DUNGEY NEEDS you to defend him? you just said why YOU WANTED to defend him... Thats not what I asked.

who the fuck is bagging, god damn. read the fucking posts more carefully. The OP, and myself are disappointing in Dungey because he refuses, seemingly, to get aggressive when some think he needs to.

this has been said a thousand times about Dungey, by everyone in the whole fucking industry (it was said again on tonights broadcast) and because of it, his main rivals don't even consider him a threat. RV2 just says things like "oh, well if I mess up he'll be right there" which to me means RV is not worried one tiny little bit about Dungey.

The mental edge is huge in this game. RV has it and Dungey doesn't. how long can you ignore that as a fan? well, for me it was about 4 years.
