Really hope so. Could finally be his year. I know we've all said it before but hoping this really is it.

I don't understand why they wouldn't bring him back. They stuck with him through all the crappy injuries, but then he starts getting back into form and bringing in results and they hesitate? I just don't get it. I hope he gets signed and has a great season next year. Wrapping up the Australian SX championship would be a nice bonus, too.

If Watson tweeted that...you can pretty well stamp it. I'm still amazed that Hill has come back to even where he is after what he's been through. He's got a lot of heart, and loves racing. I'm glad RCH has picked him up again. He'll be a top-5 contender as the series wears on if he can stay in one piece.

Top 5 guy my ass, unless you are talking about in the semis. The kid will be lucky to be running in the top 10

People with Hill are delusional. Yes he has talent we all know that. But with Tomac and Roczen in 450s now, the field is stacked. I agree that he will be lucky to be in the top 10 at the end of the year. After he won the heat in MN he was like 3rd off the start in the main and faded quite a bit. I will always question his stamina. There is a reason he prefers SX only. Not to mention he hangs with Hanny and Jlaw so you have to question how much he trains.

he hangs with them so you question how much he trains?

you know this because of a couple twatter pics you've seen, or because you run into them fuckin' around all the time?

i have a couple pictures of me "chilling" with the KING, Reedy, Windham, RV, etc... by your thinking, i must train all the time bro

He is more discrete than many riders but I have often been surprised by his raw speed, no doubt he has the potential for some top 5 in 2014.

who josh enjoys hanging out with seems to have little impact on his work ethic toward his goals. I know this because I was fortunate enough to be his trainer right up until just before his big injury and josh was always willing to try new things and work hard. a real pleasure to work with.
one of the good guys in the sport for sure and I really hope he has a great 2014.

I remember people gave him untold grief about hanging with Josh Hansen & JLaw, and contribute his mishap doing the backflip to the "bad company" he associated with then. I don't know about all that. Weak minded people will be weak minded...and I don't think Josh is.

Why should "top five guy" be the criteria for hiring a rider?

With RV, RD, JS, ET, KR, DM, TC, JB51, DW, and CR on the gate HALF of those guys are necessarily NOT top five.

Some people on here act like it's a mistake for a team to sign a guy who isn't a championship contender.

RCH likely has top 10 expectations for Josh Hill, but I would wager to bet that Josh isn't making anywhere close to the amount of money those guys I listed are.

Josh Hill has a ton of people pulling for him, including myself. He has tons of character and personality plus a tremendous come-back story. Good move, in my opinion.

I think their may be a new meaning to a top five guy this year with such a deep talented class of riders like RV, RD, JS, ET, KR, DM, TC, JB51, DW, CR Triple5 any of them could finish in the top 5 at any time...

Full time next year, getting full support too. Sounded like Tickle got a few things that he didn't last year according to him.

Hill is the top rider at RCH. Tickle id no slouch but Hill will consistently have better finishes. Hill is a 4- 8th place rider I think. Carey is a great guy sticking with him through all of this.

Usually we expect certain riders to be in the top five and I think most of these rider won't settle for any thing less.

So their will be a lot of these riders out of the top 10 in many rounds from pushing it to their limit

Top fifteen is the new top five ....Wink

Man, I remember an interview with Josh, during the SX season. They were asking him about his summer plans and he said he really, really wanted a ride for the outdoors. He said not racing would slow down all the progress he was making.
