Here in Ft. Worth with ATT Uverse, Speed was not HD and it sucked. The new Fox2 is HD. Having some riding buddies over to watch after a day at the track.

Wow. If $8 makes or breaks you, watch Seinfeld in HD and STFU.

What Regis said is fucking spot on.

Edit: phone quoted wrong post
Actually yes in this case I find it to be bull shit I pay time warner $115 a month for cable and internet. It's not the 10 extra bucks that's going to break the bank just find it lame. And to all you keyboard heros that think by buying the channels your supporting the sport somehow your lost.

Man,

I guess we just think the exact opposite. I believe it is a privilege for the powers that be to provide and pay for us fans to be able to sit in the comfort of our homes tonight and pay a few bucks to watch 3 hours of live racing. Instead of having to read about it, or buy a plane ticket, hotel, ticket to event, $10 beers, parking, Gambling money (it is vegas) and deal with a a hangover for 2 days.

I will gladly pay the money to watch the race half way across the country for an addition $10 a month on my cable bill even if it comes with 20 channels I will not watch. This is a fraction of the cost it would be to go to the actual race and quite frankly you will see more.

Why is it the sport owes people like you? Why does the sport owe it to some fans to have this race on a HD channel that is available to everyone in a basic cable package? I don't get that way of thinking from people on this board. Do you guys know how little our sport is in the big picture? We have a niche sport that needs the fans support to make it grow. We need ratings, we need to show the networks THEY NEED US, not we need them.
The thing is, the race is being recorded in HD. There is no reason that we don't have access to it in HD. This has absolutely nothing to do with moto and everything to do with Fox and tv service providers.

How's that? I have ATT Uverse and always had Speed in HD. Fox Sports 2 has an HD channel but its still broadcasted in SD.

You're right, TV ratings have nothing to do with outside sponsorship money. Downloading illegally online and whining about having to pay to watch the race live is where the big dollars come from.

You need to rethink who is "lost".
