I keep seeing that stated over and over but... someone explain it to me how that is true.

I don't see to many guys going from their last amateur Loretta's race and hopping into the Pro 450 MIX! Factory RIDE and all.
You have to earn you way to a 450 factory ride by, you guessed it, racing 250's first Wink

For almost the last fifteen years(+) the big bike champs have been small bore champs! Thus moving up and once again getting championships.

We don't see interviews where a guy actually states he's going to race Pro 250 as a career! Or the opposite, skipping 250's and going straight to 450's. Yes, rarely that does happen but not as much as it should if both classes are on "equal" ground.

We all expect that if say.... Herlings(mx2) has great success, wins a couple championships, that he should move up, and quit cherry picking the mx2 class! You know, race the man's class.

I'm pretty sure that Adam C., Cooper Webb etc all see the 250's as a stepping stone to the RV's and JS7's etc of the moto racing world, so I ask again...

How is it that the 250's are NOT a feeder class when everything points to it being exactly that?

I prefer to go to the strip club on a Tuesday afternoon, they're broke and hungry so $10 goes a long way

People keep saying that because it's officially a National Championship just like the 450 class, with no advancement point system like SX has.

Once upon a time (125cc days), elite riders like Mark Barnett and Johnny O'Mara raced the class with no plans of ever "moving up". It was considered a legit title in its own right.

It has become a de facto "feeder" class probably as a carry over from SX, and because everyone in this sport is "monkey see, monkey do".

Hope that clears it up.

250F SX is considered a feeder class. I do not think it should be.

250F MX feeder..... not a feeder class.
