Looks like Ryan Morais is now at KTM in Casey Lytle's old spot as team coordinator (with Casey moving to R&D).

Steve Lamson has stepped into Ryan's old spot as Team Manager for MyPlash Metal Mulisha Yamaha.

What about the Larry Brooks rumors? That could get silly if he starts putting people in headlocks again.

Glad for Ryan, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of impact Lamson has.

Dunno about an opening, but there are no shortage of people in here who know how it all works. Smile

Hmm...more mixing it up. Dave Gowland, who was team manager at Rockstar Energy Racing last year has moved over to One Industries. It sounds like Jamie Ellis got the nod to move into the TM spot there.

Oh?

Is there something going on over at One? Any changes?

Ellis has had "Manager" written on his forehead for years. Now everyone will know the name behind those Rockstar Suzukis that done so well.

Now that you mention it...

ONE Industries Appoints New Directors of Marketing, Product, and VP of Business Development

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 9, 2013 – ONE Industries Corp., the San Diego-based maker of motocross and mountain bike equipment under the ONE and Six Six One brands, enhances the management team appointing Troy Powell to Director of Marketing, Igor Burt to Product Director, and Dave Gowland to VP of Business Development.

Troy Powell joins ONE Industries as Director of Marketing. Powell most recently served as MX Marketing Senior Manager at Volcom, where he led the brand's successful entry into motocross, working closely with multi-time Supercross and Motocross champion Ryan Villopoto. "With over 18 years of marketing experience, Troy has deep roots in the action sports industry building innovative programs across surf, skate, snow and moto that ignite passion for the sport with both enthusiasts and fans," says ONE's President Jeff McGuane.

Igor Burt joins ONE Industries as Director of Product Design, Development, and Merchandising. With over 16 years experience in the outdoor and action sports industries, Igor has a track record of creating breakthrough designs and product innovations including winning several Outside Magazine "Gear-of-the-Year" Awards for Adventure-Racing Footwear, Backpacks and Gear.
"Great products are the lifeblood of our brands", said McGuane "and we are excited to have Igor leading the product charge".

Dave Gowland joins ONE as the new Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining ONE Industries, Gowland was Team Manager of Rockstar Energy Racing where, in 2013, the ONE Industries-sponsored team achieved great success as riders Davi Millsaps, Jason Anderson, and Blake Wharton all captured victories in AMA Supercross. With over 25 years of experience, Gowland is a veteran of the motocross industry with experience spanning from General Manager of Thor MX to overseeing Kawasaki's Team Green Amateur program. "Seeing this industry from a diversity of perspectives gives Dave unique insights into what it takes to build enduring and successful partnerships with sponsors, licensors, and retailers alike," said McGuane.

So is the Rockstar team having problems? I thought Gowland was great for that team. It's always interesting when someone does so well at a place one year and decides to move on. I'm sure the money has a lot to do with it, but it would be interesting to hear some reasoning around the change.

Maybe Gowland didn't want to be on the road so much.

I've heard One Ind. has been suffering in recent years. Hopefully Dave can work his magic and there's better days ahead for them all.
