Hello Everyone! I'm new here and need some help. I have a 1987 Honda CR250 that I've finally started working on. I've owned the bike for about 5 years and I have had no time to work on it. I've been accumulating a bunch of parts that I needed. I acquired an aluminum tank for it years ago not knowing anything about it or even if it fit. It has no markings on it whatsoever and it doesn't quite fit the 250 perfectly. I think it might be for a 125 as the right shroud is slightly different. ANYONE familiar with this piece??? Who made it and what does it fit?

That doesn't look like it'll work at all! I will help you out and take it off your hands, though Smile .

In all seriousness, if you could post a picture of the right side, maybe it will help someone (Newmann?) to identify what you've got.

I got some info on it from some people in Europe. Sounds like it's made from a company called VRP, Verona Racing Products. I guess they were a supplier to HRC in Europe from 1987 - 1992. I think this is a rare piece to be on North American soil with that little AMA production rule. I sold to tank to a guy in Italy.

You got my e-mail? The 86-87-88 CR125 seems to be the one.

This is my 86 CR125 tank mocked up on my 86 CR250 that someone asked me to do. Your VRP tank definitely looks like a CR125 (as Newman said) 85-88. Sorry about the fuzzy photo but the autofocus on my Canon DSLR has stopped working.

Hey Neumann!

Yes, I got your email. It seems this piece is quite the ticket overseas..... I must have had 20 email with guys restoring bikes overseas wanting to start a bidding war. I'm not like that and held the price and bid to the first bidder. This guy has a bunch of bikes that were raced at the Farleigh event a few weeks ago.
