High performance exhausts.

Yesterday I crashed and totaled my exhaust system. I figure since I have to replace it I might as well spend the extra cash on a high performance exhaust. I don't know very much about exhausts, so I wanted to see what you guys think and what you would recommend to get. It's a 2013 YZ125.

The "big 2" of aftermarket exhaust companies are Pro Circuit and FMF. While everyone has their opinion and will favor one over another, both are good. You will have to choose between a nickel plated or unfinished/factory header. Nickel plated requires little maintenance, while unfinished will surface rust and has to be dried after getting wet, oiled with wd40 and hit with a scotch brite pad when it does rust. Assuming you ride mx, my personal preference would be a FMF factory fatty with a shorty silencer. If your silencer didn't get damaged, I think that will still work with the FMF header. Depending on your current jetting, how hard you ride and the temperature/elevation you usually ride at, keep an eye on your jetting when switching exhausts especially from stock to aftermarket.

Find a nice used OEM pipe on eBay and save the money. The stock pipe on YZ's is excellent.
