What those guys do is super secret.
I would doubt that they would be involved in direct fighting at this time in regards to aligning with the rebels
for a regime change.
If they were involved I could see them being involved in supporting intel or evening training
guys(rebels) in Jordan.Or perhaps supporting other intelligence type units - they're great at that stuff.
Israel has had their guys in there crossing over the border for some time now carrying out special operations.
If these guys were to get trapped or compromised... I could see SAS doing
rescue type operations. But we wouldn't know about it for years to come.
This video shows Israel SOF coming back from a mission in Syria.

These chem weapon attacks are allegedly to have occurred on August 21st 2013.
Well before that,Dempsey was already in Israel the week before and already planning something with Israel in regards to Syria then headed onto Jordan. The US had already began planning/dabbling with some type of intervention in regards to Syria before these chem attacks.Seems like they're trying to use the attacks as opportunity for something preplanned.
So my guess/opinion is they were already hellbent on doing something before the latest chem attacks.

A week before that, this centcom bulletin came out.
"U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) is focused on improving regional stability and security by reincorporating Syria into the mainstream “Arab world.” CENTCOM has been concentrating on stemming the flow of foreign fighters over Syria’s border into Iraq by improving security along the Syria-Iraq border and performing periodic technical border assessments.
CENCOM is also concerned by Syrian support of Iranian violent extremist organization proxies and the al-Asad regime’s hosting of Hamas leadership, its support of weapons shipments to Hizballah and its cooperation with Al-Qaida in Iraq operatives.
CENTCOM leaders believe that, unlike Iran, Syria’s motives for these actions probably stem from short-sighted calculations rather than deep-seated ideology. It is possible that, over time, Syria can emerge as a partner in promoting security and stability in the region."
Not sure if they'll put any type of military action on pause or not.
And then just wait for a better opportunity...such as a "I told you so" opportunity.

Fuggin' nuts.
This sentiment can be applied to many conflicts all over the world. One man's terrorist is another freedom fighter. Depending when you take a snapshot in history on these conflicts the good guy/bad guy roles have sometimes flip flopped.
Can't we all just get along?
It's a motivator to get them to fight and even become suicide bombers.
It's sort of like our old Nordic/Norse way of beliefs for some who die in battle/combat .
Victory or Valhalla mind set.If you die fighting in a battle/combat you can go to a special place with the gods.
Pit Row
News said that strikes would happen swiftly if he does.
I guess it's almost 3:30 AM Saturday in Damascus,Syria right now.
I just seen an update that the rest of the UN inspectors were going to leave at 4:00AM - in just over 30 minutes from now.
They were supposed to leave at 7:00AM ,but they changed it to 4:00AM for some reason.
Wonder if Obama will make a move over this 3 day weekend - or will he wait until after he goes to Russia?
I cant understand their language, but you can hear them say "Americans" or "American" every now & then.
They're going on & on about war stuff and showing videos of US missiles & weapons.
Also showing video of Obama from yesterday & John Kerry.
The SHIT is Hitting the Fan & our "Peace Prize" winning Prez is doing his best "War Hawk" Impression.
Screw it.
This isn't Ironic : it's Scary.
Not digging all this with Kerry and Obama giving the big high five to France (short memory).
But if US congress rejects any military action against Assad.
Then it's either let them be or try to rally the neighbors and old owners to do something to contain it & deter the use of chem weapons.Israel,Jordan,Turkey and old owners France would be the players.
Since those are allies of the US and if things got bad the US would be obligated to step in and show/offer some type of support. Then it would drag more allies into the mess.
This thing could be a mess anyway you slice it.
Image if no one does nothing or if they do something.
Arab Spring in Turkey & Jordan arises due to the Syrian civil war influence & refugee problem.
That entire region could go into an uproar.
Lebanon also does not have a stable government - that place could go off first then Libya & Iraq.
There is already neighborhood type fighting between Assad supporters & Rebel supporters just over the border in Lebanon. That is going to explode in only a matter of time.
As for the civil war itself, the media leaves out a lot of important stuff/facts.
The original rebellion fighters have either been killed or have retreated back their homes.
What's left are insurgent terrorists/hardcore Islamist fighters.Assad has the upper hand and wants to put an end to it.But even his top guys have told him that they would have to kill every last fighter to accomplish this. That Genocide is the only way to win this civil war.You might see support from Iran & Russia on this in the future. I think that is what Obama admin advisers are worried about. They let them carry out 13 other chem attacks without doing anything, but they may feel that Assad is testing the waters to carry out genocide at this time.
It could set off fighting with Iran & Israel and fighting all over those parts eventually.
However,Japan might get involved.
Syria: Japan Might Back U.S. Intervention, Sources Say
The Japanese government is arranging for Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to express support for the United States in the event of U.S. military action in Syria, unnamed government sources said Aug. 31, Kyodo reported.
These guys are supposedly rebels.
The one guy sure does speak perfect English - with an American accent.
