Hello guys

I'm Dennis and I'm from Europe, Belgium. I've had this crossmoto for a long time. It was just sitting in my garage but yesterday I decided to start it again and I needed to know the type of bike it was. So I sat down behind my PC and I found out that I'm the owner of a Yamaha YZ 360 A and that these things are rare (500+ made?).

How can I be sure that I've got myself this rare bike? I found out because of looking on the engine number and there stands: 432-000472 So it's like the 472 ever made? And the 432 stands for the yamaha YZ 360 A? But is this number also located somewhere on the frame?

I may consider selling this bike, so what are these worth? It's not in perfect condition anymore but it runs very nice. (the exhaust tip is not original anymore & the front fork is a maico) Will get some pictures up soon.

Thanks
Dennis

A 74 YZ360 is worth a good sum of money. Haven't seen one for sale in quite a few years.

Dennis , Vin # is on steering head and should be same as motor to bring maximum value. I have one currently and just sold my other one about 2 months ago that was fairly original but unrestored for 14K . Restored with all correct parts with no excel wheels or aftermarket pipe or anything non OEM would bring approx. 17-20K . Yours sounds as if it may be approx. 8k-10k but pictures would tell a better story. Contact me direct tom@yz360.us and I can help you with questions or parts. There were 531 of these produced. Tom

Looks like a Ake Jonnson style bike with the Maico forks.

The motor is a 74 yz360 (twinshock) The frame is 75 yz with a 76 yz swingarm (75 monoshock). Exhaust and gastank are 75 yz , frontend is Maico with a YZ wheel , silencer is not correct for YZ although maybe its a spark arrestor for the 76 YZ . Airbox should be a fiberglass unit doublesided(correct for the 75 YZ).

Hey guys, was wondering if you could help me identify this bike
Frame and engine numbers match 510-004458
Thinking its a 76 YZ400, want to make sure before I part the bike out.
Any help would be appreciated!

Slick, your bike is a 1975 MX400B. parting it out will get you the same value as a 1976 YZ400C as they were built by Yamaha to be the dirt bikes for the people, simple like a VW bug. They sold a jillion of them, a lot of people rode them really fast, but they were just mass produced cookie cutter MX bikes after 1974

where is the best place to sell and what is the value of these three bikes.

Don't know the value, but Mark's Vintage Swapmeet is a great place to sell vintage bikes and parts, you can also post a question about the value as well. Here >>>>> http://www.vintagemx.us/cgi-bin/swapmeet.cgi?action=none
