I knew Matt a little when he was younger and know his dad Don pretty well. Great family and they live and breathe moto. I raced 250 B up here in the NW for many years and the +30 A/B stuff as well. Matt's dad Don was a pretty fast local pro up here and he can still tear it up on a bike. I raced against Don in the +30A stuff quite a few times....and he pretty much stomped me every time we were on the track together. Smile Bottom line , Matt's mom and dad supported him all the way up from the mini's but he's getting some great support now. The bright side of his future is right around the corner and Matt hasn't disappointed.

I think he'll do good......about like what the new prospects did this year as in Hill , , Webb , AC , ect. Again....great kid from a great family that loves the sport.

P.s......can't remember which one it was , but either "Camp " or "Camp232" here on vital lives down in Texas and rides with Don and Matt quite often. Maybe he'll chime in.

I think he is the fastest A rider right now followed by Mcelrath. As fast as he is, I don't believe he will be the next big thing for Geico though. Geico's next prodigy will be Jordan Smith, who is someone I see being a front runner as soon as he turns pro in a year or so. Bisceglia will be solid though, no doubt. He battled with Cooper Webb many times and took a couple titles from him at LL's last year.

It's hard to predict the future, but Matt dominated the B classes last year, winning 5 of 6 motos with a 2nd in one moto. He's 2 for 2 so far this year in the A classes.

One thing's for sure, Gieco/Factory Connection has a nose for talent.

Trampas used to train Matt, they used to come ride my track every week for a while, around '06. He was getting bikes and stuff from Yamaha back then. Trampas would also bring Conner Pearson as well as other fast kids. It was pretty cool to have national level kids show up, always on week days when it was burning up hot. Whartons used to show up too, before they went pro.

That is funny. I used to race during the same era his dad raced pro locally. I don't think I ever heard it pronounced correctly (especially over the P.A.) in the 12 years I raced... LOL.

I got a leg up by asking someone that already knew....lol.

That's one of those you hate to see on the announcing sheet because you know you're gonna mangle it a few times before someone "helps you" in getting it right.
Matt looks like he is just on another level right now can't wait to see him running at Dilla.

Weigant talking about Bisceglia on Moto60 show says he looks like Windham on the bike and gives interviews like him too.

Sounds like a good thing.

It's possible. Matt is bigger and stronger than AC. He's about 5'-10, 165#, which is just about perfect for the 250 class.

Just like the top rookies who come into the class every year Matt will be able to run the pace. It all hinges on his starts at the pro level because that gives you track position to do well. No one except the very best do much moving up through the pack from where they started.
