National Lap times RC's VS RV's

I know the tracks change some year to year, but how close are the lap times between these two say this year RV vs RC's best?

RC and RV did race on the same tracks in 2007, although RC on a 450 and RV on a 250. If you go back and look you'll see RV had faster times than RC (or anyone else) at a few tracks, even though he was on a 250F! Then there was the 2007 MXoN where RV had no equal, including RC.

Tomac's lap times were better yesterday then most 450's. I'm not asking that, RV himself said, it's easier to ride a 450 and race a 250 because of the torque and weight.

Many of the races in 2007 when RV was racing BT101 for the championship finished their races 15-20 seconds quicker than the 450's RC vs JS while completing the same # of laps . I was not surprised when RV went 1-1 in the MXon , but did not expect such a huge lead .

During the first 5 races of the year could you point out the ones were RV went wuicker than RC and JS. I know at Millville he had faster times than RC, but he was on a trial ride that day.

There are going to be some tracks that favor a 450 and some that favor a 250 it seems.

I can't think of an outdoor national track that favors a 250F, but I do think you posed an interesting question. Obviously any comparison means nothing, but it is interesting from a bench racing perspective. Part of the reason RV had such a huge lead over RC at the MXoN was that RC gave RV his gate pick. That was RC's last race and he will tell you it wasn't his best performance (only 2nd best in the world that day), he will also tell you he was pretty happy with his team mate that day! If you want to see some interesting lap times, look at the times from that race; RV flat laid the wood to the world on a 250F and that wasn't a 250F track by any stretch.

Yes I'm interested in the lap times.... When I look up on youtube some old JS vs RC battles they are laying down the same FASTER lap times on some tracks. I don't know how much or if the track had changed since then.

Interesting question i guess, too many variables but are any of the tracks unchanged completely other than prep/conditions?

So far this year, muddy creek, high point, budds, and shougal have all favored a 250f. These factory 250fs are SO fast there really is no need for the extra power of a 450 the way these guys ride. (for guys under 175 pounds)

At times, RV is very Goat like. I think he might lack just a c-hair less consistancy than RC in his prime but RV is the man, coming and going.
The question is, if RC and RV ined up together in their prime, how much more does RC or RV have to give to win?

Maybe when RV wins 67 more races and six more titles, I might think he is "very Goat like". Until then, not even close.

I wonder what RV would look like on a 250 2stroke. He's so aggressive he'd probably way over ride the bike. Dream match would be RV JS & RC all in their prime lined up on 250 2strokes. Yaya
