I take the one that works for 10/12 hours. Before I started with Oxy I was popping Zaldiar as candy because I was dying from the pain in my hip. I was 18 years old and needed a new one. I got Oxy took 60mg in the morning and 80mg in the evening and did that for 6 months got my new hip and went to 10mg in the morning and 10mg in the evening. Why I still kept taking pills? Because all my joints have dysplasia.
A year later I went to my medical because my knee was killing me, he saw that my knee was dying (Avascular necrosis) so I was 19 and I needed a new knee but I needed to wait. Again I went up with my Oxy use to deal with the pain. I went to 40mg and 60mg. I got a new knee and the rehab was hard so I lowered my dose but not to low (20mg and 40mg) and thats what it is for along time now because after my rehab from my knee my shoulders went from bad to worse. One shoulder is already displaced for a new one and that other one is on the "to do list". And there is a little bit of a hurry because my other hip is crumbling (also dying). And I'm still only 23 years old.
Yeah If you read this story than you notice that I'm already 5years "hoocked" on Oxy but the pain is more of a problem that Oxy is at the moment. When my shoulder and hip got there replacement I will probably change to a new painkiller but Zaldair, Oxycon or shit with codeine... its all bad.

...and to top it off my med insurance SUCKS, luckily i am just able to get by, but there have been times when i had to go to "other means" to get what i needed, but have worked closely w/ my doctor and sorted out the situation and found stuff that my ins. will cover, and that has made this much easier to cope with.
...if only i knew then what i know now, i would of had these God awful rods removed from my spine. 28 years of abuse, my spine is now basically fucked!
Yeah I'm born with this, my mom has the same thing but they told here it wasn't inheritable? (Don't know if that word is correct.) but when I came to the world and became 2 years old it became clear that what my mom has, I have also and some stages worse. Just Bad Luck. And Scottie I think it's worse getting a accident, because then you know what you're missing.
Also when I read your story, I'm happy that I live in Belgium. Here the government is paying a percentage of the painkillers from chronic pain patients. Ok that makes that we have very high taxes to pay and also there are some guys that are cheating in our wealth fare system but you can't screw all the good guys because there are some bad guys.
Bye the way I get all the people who search there happy time in Oxycon. When I have a hard mental day and I take my daily mg's Oxy (for the pain) than my hard mental day gets smoothen out, everyone who taken Oxy, will probably felt that when taking it. Oxy doesn't only make your fysycal numb but also mentally numb. So when you are a pro rider when riding is your complete life or when you are a hobby rider when riding is a big piece of your life and you are down its easy to take a bit more to make you less down.
