Sounds good. Didn't realize how much I liked playing this game live until it was gone. Really hope we can get a newer version based off this game in the near future. Just wish we could get replica outdoor tracks.

I am not 100% positive, but close to it, that additional content beyond the planned DLC packs that did come out for Reflex because the game wasn't setup properly to support more content and to "patch" the game to allow the content wouldn't be possible because patch sizes are limited, and (I believe) a whole UI update was needed on the back end to accommodate more content.

Again, my memory might be foggy, and not trying to be a downer; just sharing what info I have. Alive was built around a DLC model, and even built to accept a lot of different types of updates through patches and such, so I would say there is a lot that could be done with that title. And you can spare the... "but Alive sucks" comments. They are irrelevant to the topic at hand.

Now a Reflex 2, that would be possible of course given the right budget.

I did boot up Reflex on my PC last night, the first time in 2 years I've turned on a Rainbow MX game and quickly noticed 3 things...

- Damn these sounds are horrible
- Damn this game looks sick and the deformation is pretty bitchen
- Damn these tracks are pretty sick... yes I'm biased on the last one.

Hope all is well and thanks for all the info. Would love to see a Reflex 2 or even some updates for Alive. Looking back I am glad that I never got a job at THQ.

It would just be nice for them to announce something. At first it was that when everything was final in court they would get the servers back up. That's been a couple weeks ago and not a word has come out since.... Typical

Nordic Games bought a lot of other IPs in the auction. I don't think they're a very big company so it'll probably take a while for them to sort everything else out before they can take a proper look at what went on with the servers... There's another company (Quazal) which seems to be responsible for hosting the servers, so there's another variable in the mix here...

I'm getting really sick of playing arcade mode, and all the other MX games are just not worth buying in my opinion.

I emailed Nordic Games last week and just got a response:

The acquisition of the THQ assets is still in progress.
The acquisition will be finally closed within the next weeks and the underlying IPs and Game Titles will be transferred to Nordic Games.
We apologize that we are not able to work on your request until the acquisition will be finally closed and we assure you that we will do our best to bring the servers online again.

I'll be ready to play this in November/December when I can't ride my real bike outside. Hopefully they get the game back up and running online.

Nordic launched a beta patch for like a week ago that lets you play online again. They are working on the final details right now and will release it as an update for the game in a few weeks time. But the beta works just fine while we are waiting for the final release.

reflex is what made me plonk down 500$ on a 360 and the game. best mx game ever, real flow.
alive was stupid, no SX, bad physics, no cool loading screen freeride area. Reflex single player it is Dizzy

I finally made it to level 50 online on relex, does anyone know how many races that is!
I only just realised why there was always people in the game not playing just a bike on the start line.. because it gave you points even for not finishing so they got 2 level 50 faster!!@$#@$#@
