G2 Quick-turn throttles - anyone use them?

Edited Date/Time 6/14/2013 1:35pm
Opinions, good or bad?

When I was younger I modified my RM80 throttle to be a quicker turn than stock because it helped me not drop my elbow and look like Ronnie Mac on my right side when hard on the gas. It helped a LOT!

Even though I am a tad light for my CR250, I was thinking about a G2 for it.

I put one on my 125 and I love it. Helps you make good use of ALL the power.

Yeah, its a great idea and they work well, but the cams get loose after awhile and dont fit tight anymore.

Does G2 make quick-turns for 2-strokes?

I´ve had a G2 on my thumper and like it, I would still love a quicker cam, but it would need a new throttle housing also.

Yes.They sell a quick turn throttle with a Domino housing. It sells for $125

I would love to get one also, I ride a 125 and im always have my arm straight down when im trying to stretch it wide open. the only thing i would worry about is it being to quick and getting me in trouble in other sections. But i think it would just be something to learn and adjust to.

I've had quick pull throttles on my last 3 or so bikes that I rode on MX tracks. I found once I had arm pump I couldn't turn the stocker to full stop and it may have prevented arm pump a little too. I found that it was sketchy in tight trails though on the odd occasion i did that sort of riding.

back in the day when we ran 2-strokes indoors in AX & SX they were used alot,
4 strokes don't have the the same throttle demands so the short thow isn't used the same.

If you have that issue, call them - I'll bet you almost anything they'll fix the issue.

yeah this is the model I have. Its worth it dude, one of the best upgrades I've done for my 125. It automatically feels like you have more throttle response and low end when you first try it out. Pretty cool little trick.

The hot throttle set up is to just run the ODI lock-on grips.

The Odi lock-ons don't do anything though - the G2 throttle setup alters the power in quite a few different directions.
