Synvisc Knee Injections

I do not know if this has been addressed here before but I am asking if anyone has had these injections in their knees and the outcome of them, like how much pain, recovery time and going back to riding and racing did it make a difference. At 56 I cannot race back to back weekends becasue of knee pain. Any knowlage or help would be great information. I don't want my knees replaces yet.

Hubby had them about 3 times to try to postpone knee replacement- worked for about 3 months each time was able to postpone knee replacement for about a year with them. He really didn't think injections that painful as compared to having fluid drained and other things he did for knees in past. Now 6 months post total knee replacement says knee pain is gone in that knee.

Had no pain with the injection, but had no pain relief either

Stuff only lasted 2 mos in one knee; 3 mos. in the other when I started in Jan.

Trying another course of once a week shots for 3 weeks in each knee in few wks. to see if the severe pain relief lasts longer.

Would at least give it a try as a last ditch effort.
